Timberview has been an excellent school to be involved with the past few years. The current administration team has been terrific at communicating with families and staff, counselors are welcoming and assist with student concerns, and the other support staff members are amazing. After working in-and-around public education for over a decade, Timberview Middle School has been leaps above the rest. The support that the school provides their employees and students is tough to compare to other campuses that I've worked with over the years.

Ok, so this school is AWFUL, like its beyond that, and this is coming from a person who actually goes here! I mean there are some nice teachers, but the majority are very mean and disrespectful to the students. But the administrator is on a whole new level! They are rude and mean and they always have attitude to everyone! They really make me uncomfortable because I feel like they are always going to yell at me for no reason at all! And they talk behind your back to other teachers/ administrator about you being dirty and bad and making fun of you! Also, they couldn't care less if you got bullied or abused by other students at all! Last year, I got stabbed with a pencil 9 times by one of my fellow classmates on purpose and I was bleeding a lot! But the only thing they did was send me to the nurse and made me fill out a paper about the innocent, they didn't even call my mom! and then, come to find out, they didn't even do anything about the guy, they didn't even talk to him! They seriously care more about giving your kids ISS for going out of the wrong door or not bringing your ID to school than bullying! This school is beyond terrible I would not recommend, and if your kid is actually having good experience in this school, it's probably because they are white. I'm being serious! They always discriminate all the kids in the school its awful. They always think that the colored is the problem, and the white people are the innocents! It's terrible. So, for the sake of your kids, don't bring them to this school, or they will be bullied by not only the students but the administrators and the teachers!

Only have a 7th grader who's been here a few months and we're not impressed. Little to no communication from the school for new students starting from orientation/walk the schedule day. Simple communication doesn't go out unless you're on social media. Three months in and she is still not properly set up on her computer/apps to know where to find things. I've emailed one teacher and never got a response. My daughter has emailed a couple teachers for help and received either no response, delayed response, or useless response. These are emails for help locating assignments and tools to do assignments. From a parent looking in who's been on campus for some athletic events it seems like this school is perfectly located in the middle of some higher end housing developments and if you don't live in The Bluffs, Heritage, or Crawford Farms you're not cool enough. And the comment on a previous review about stay away from those kids with lululemon...(agreed) These kids are too worried about having the cool things they use a lululemon shopping bag for their lunch box.

I am currently an 8th grader at Timberview, and it has its ups and downs. I’ve had some incredibly kind, intelligent teachers who are willing to slow down and help you learn a subject, but I’ve also had teachers who just want to finish the TEK and go home. The fine arts at the school are very well-organized and have only brought me friendships and fun, and the librarian is the sweetest woman you will ever meet. However, the principal is essentially a hermit, and I’ve only seen him once (in his office) to resolve a major bullying issue. He truly only gave the bullies a talking-to, and none of them have reformed in the slightest. There was also a huge scandal with a math teacher verbally abusing students, it being reported, and him being allowed to stay in his position. I do find blatant favoritism in many classes. My advisory teacher only liked you if you were in with the skinny, sporty popular girls. Homework assignments are few and far between if you need that extra help. Timberview really is the kind of school where you need to blind yourself to the bad and try as hard as you can to make friends who can watch your back. I really suggest theater for any new students, the directors are incredibly sweet and will always take care of you. My advice-make friends, stay away from anyone in Lululemon, and always keep an eye peeled.

I have had three kids go through this school and we have been very happy with their experiences and quality of education. They have each had wonderful teachers who have stretched them/challenged them, believed in them and cared about them. These teachers and staff prepared them well for high school.

Please do your child a favor and enroll in a different school. When your child gets bullied by his teachers & the administration does nothing; there's a huge problem.

Teachers are very attentive and caring. Communication is wonderful--weekly emails and updates about what is going on in the classroom.

We recently moved here & the amount of bullying is incredible. You cannot get a meeting with the Principal only Asst. Principal or Counselor. The children physically & verbally assaulting my child continue to just get a talking to. There are 2 teachers that are also verbally abusing my child &/or not stopping the abuse by the bullies. In the meantime my son wants to quit school & is nearing the brink of suicidal thoughts or hurting the bullies severely. In the few months we've lived here I've heard so many horror stories and even more about the Timber Creek High School.Considering this is an upper middle class area; one would think the schools would be great! We are moving ASAP!

They put on a good show, but behind the scenes they don't follow through on genuinely caring about the best interest of students and families. When my son complains about being bothered by other kids the adults tell him yo quit acting like a baby. They make major decisions abput our children's with out consulting parents, and if you complain you get a too bad so sad email. Principals communication with parents is non existent or untimely. They promote and encourage one type of personality instead of embracing the diversity and individuality of the students

This is our 2nd year at Timberview and we have had nothing but a great experience. The teachers are awesome and have told us that our job is to parent, their job is to teach. If my child doesn't understand something let them know, and they will reteach the lesson to her.

Timberview Middle School has one thing going for it. The architecture. (I know because I currently attend). My first problem is the teachers. Many are amazing teachers while others don"t tell you things until it's far too late. The second is the counselors/ office staff. The principal isn't involved most of the time, and doesn't really stop bullying. The counselors are not trustworthy (not really) and are ill-equipped for depressed kids. (someone I know is and told me). And thirdly, the schedule. I'm all over the place all day. I have to go upstairs and down again and go all the way across the entire school and back again. My grades have dropped significantly at this school too.

A great school & environment. Like any school, there are a few sub-par teachers, but overall a great place.

There are very few positives to this school. I am a student currently attending, and I'm very unhappy with the system here. I love the fine arts here, but the academics are absolutely terrible. And the way Timberview "deals" with bullying is absolutely repulsive. A couple weeks ago I was outside, minding my own business, where a large child fell on my foot, which it ended up breaking. My friends had to get the nurse, and the teachers never checked on me. They were too busy talking. I'm very upset with this school's direction.

We love Timberview and it's teachers! We've had the very lucky opportunity for our younger 5th grader to have the best teacher ever last year, then our older 8th grader have that same teacher because he moved up to 8th grade. Timberviews teachers and are excellent and are very willing to help the students any way they can! The teachers have websites set up for students and parents and are always quick to email when my child needs extra help. I highly recommend TMS!!!

LOVE this school! We have a new 5th grader at the school and we have had nothing but positive experiences. The energy at the school is awesome. The communication is even better with weekly chats on Twitter, sessions in Google hangouts, updates on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Team teaching is wonderful as well. The learning atmosphere of this school is nothing short of fabulous.

Love this school!! The administration and teachers are friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond to keep parents informed on important issues. I would guess to say those who have complained about this school are probably the same people that complain about everything. That's usually the way it is. Keep up the good work TVMS!!

Timberview is a great school for my kids. Teachers are easily accessible using every means of communication possible. The entire staff goes above and beyond to be helpful and relay needed information. Working parents are given the tools to stay connected to the daily lives of their kids with twitter updates, emails, and updated class websites.

I love TMS!! The first year was rough because Not only were they opening as a new school but It was our first year in TX. It has only gotten better With time. There are many channels to communicate With teachers and administration and they answer Promptly. We only have 1 more year at TMS and we Are going to miss it. I highly reccommend it!
