I absolutely love Northrop. It is an amazing school and all the teachers are really fun and nice. The other students are nice and I haven't experienced any bullying. I especially love the engineering classes they offer because it prepares you for a real world job. I am a freshman and already earning 3 college credits through Ivy Tech in the intro to engineering and design class. I think that this is an amazing school yet it doesn't get the respect it deserves for some reason. If you're looking for a great school for your kid to go to, this is it. Northrop is awesome.

This school is toxic, the faculty/teachers are only there to collect a paycheck.

A couple teachers are good, but most are horrible. In one of my classes there was a student with special needs who was being made fun of. Instead of stopping the bullying, the teacher joined in. The student ran out of the classroom and the teacher wasn't concerned about him.

A Northrop H.S. teacher told me "I cannot be expected to read EVERY IEP" during a parent/teacher meeting about making accommodations for my son's (diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome) IEP. My son was regularly bullied.

I am currently a student at Northrop and I can say that it has been the worst experience of my life. First off some of the teachers there don't fully prepare us for tests and that is the biggest part of our grade. They give us material and tell us to teach it to ourselves. This is very frustrating because when the material is difficult and hard to understand you need someone to teach you how to do it. A teachers job is to teach us and make sure that we understand what we are doing in class. Not all of the teachers are bad though. I have two teachers who do an amazing job but two isn't enough. Why can't all the teachers be like that? Second, the kids act like animals. I can not believe the amount of disrespect I see in that school. When a teacher gives a student a referral for something they do over and over they still end up in class. If they disrupt the class all the time then they need to be permanently removed from the classroom so the rest of us students can actually learn. Northrop's discipline is a joke and it needs to be fixed. If you are looking to send your child to a good school, Northrop is NOT the school to go to.

The administration is terrible. They run the school like its a prison. There was some good teachers but I believe the administration sets the tone.
