Very bad experience at this school. Administration does not effectively handle discipline, especially if the child comes from a family with financial means. I think the teachers' hands are tied. Current change in administration is no more effective. Disappointed.

My children attend St Mike’s and we choose the school because of the faith education. The teachers are very passionate about what they do and very good at what they do. My son has had his struggles and they are very on top of getting him the support he needs. They are also very receptive and accountable.

Presently I have two grandsons attending this school. I am impressed as to how well the teachers relate to each student, planning lessons and activities with each child in mind. The school feels like a family of people who care and watch out for one another. The teachers are constantly getting CEUs or college credit. They are very approachable and keep the children's best interest in the forefront. The religious principles upon which the school is based are also the foundation of the social skills and interactions among the staff and students. Some children have started here as preschoolers and continue through 8th grade. I have noticed that once they go to the high school, they are always among the best in scholastics and sports and almost always a few are in the TOP 20 of the graduating class. All three of our own children attended St. Michael so my experience spans from 1974 to the present. I highly recommend you look into SMS as a school that will nurture your child's mind, body and spirit. The music, art and athletic programs permit all children to participate; however, those excelling in those areas will have a chance to shine in their area of speciality.

It's an average school, with little to make it stand out academically. The kids definitely form "cliques" and this does seem to be encouraged by some of the teaching staff. We had an older child who aged out of the school quickly. It's a catholic school and while I expected a religious curriculum, there was a very big bias against the non-catholic kids in the class.
