I have two students, one with special needs and one who is neurotypical. Their experiences have been different, but very good. Very pleased with the teachers. Music program can't be beat!

Findlay High School is an excellent school with many different opportunities for students. The teachers, counselors and administrators really do seem to care about everyone. Being a somewhat larger school, it is able to offer a great variety of specialized, college prep, honors and advanced level courses. It's size also allows it to offer many athletic and student-centered extracurricular activities. The principal uses email, Twitter, newsletters and different meetings to communicate with parents and students. I was recently a parent member of a committee organized to give input on a school honors program. Although I was skeptical of how my input would be used, I was pleasantly surprised to see my input was valued and made a difference. I rate my family's experience as five stars. The only negative I see is that parents have a tendency to complain but aren't willing to get involved. Like our family, parents are very busy. But from our experience with private schools, attending parent meetings and getting involved is how we make our school work for us.

As a parent of 2 children that attended FHS, I must say this school is one of the worst. From drugs, gangs and bullying to being severely understaffed. Not to mention the chaotic open lunches and lack of caring and teaching skills from many faculty members, this is not somewhere you want to send your kids. From all the violence alone, it truly hinders your child's concentration and learning capabilities. We withdrew both of our children and open enrolled them elsewhere, and both showed great improvement both socially and academically. If you want a safe environment and quality education than Findlay High School is not for you.

Great teachers and lots of AP/honors classes. There are lots of sports and activities to be in. It's a great school to go to!
