My children thrived at Illini and continue to do so in middle and high school because of their strong foundation at Illini.

Our son went to Pre-K until grade 3 at Illini. I really can't say how truly awesome this school is. The staff is so understanding and caring. We were treated so perfectly. Every teacher brought something special!! My sons favorite teacher was so great and made it hard for any other teacher in his future. He exceeds at his new school and is getting straight A's thanks to Illini school. Travis is the coolest principal and has made the school so safe. The large playground is highly fenced in a wooded lot. I could not have asked for more. We are constantly complimented on our sons manners and personality. We owe half of the credit to the caring and loving people at Illini school in Fairview Heights.

This is an amazing school. Between my 3 boys we have been there 5 years and have another 5 years there. The principal is very understanding and cares for everyone of his students. All the teachers have also been great and a lot of them have been teaching at Illini for many years.

My daughter who is in kindergarten has been bullied on the bus since the beginning of the school year. From being punched in the head , kicked, choked, and items being thrown at her. The principle obviously did not want to punish the child who did it , and proceeded to tell me about the kids medication , and other info, which does not mean much to me . It took him almost 6 months to finally remove him from the bus. I do not think he has what it takes to be in charge , because he is not putting the kids first.

Illini is a Great school. all 3 of my kids went there!. the teachers and principals ( past and present) are/were very approachable and friendly. I brag about them all the time. my kids know no other school dist. They may not be perfect, but I thinks it is great compared to private schooling.

The teachers are excellent and full of passion. However, the administration could care less about the children's education or safety. For example, they have allowed my kindergartner to get on the bus when she was in the afterschool program. The afterschool program is also horrible. They rarely know where your child is and are extremely rude. My son has came home many times stating he was being picked on by the older children. They no longer go to the afterschool program.
