My son graduated from Grant in '21. He and multiple of his classmates have been successful in full honors classes in high school and athletics so far. He enjoys visiting his old teachers and thinks of Grant fondly.

A real joke!My child missed school due to COVID exposure was told no test quarantine for a week. Ok,cool!Received a letter penalizing me threatening me with court because she missed those days! Also, I had an appointment and of course I will not leave my eleven year old home alone so she stayed with grandparents I picked her up dropped her off at school maybe an hour late and she was still marked absent! The staff there do not know their butts from their mouths and the school superintendent is too busy eating donuts to even bother responding to parent inquiries.Hey grant, COVID, Ebola, bird flu, monkey pox ? My child will be in school! This is exactly why some parents send sick children to school.

I used to go to this school (last year was my last year there) and trust me, this is not a great place. Sure some teachers we're fun and nice. But when their "no-bullying policy" is a complete JOKE it doesn't help its standing. Even teachers bully kids. I've seen it and I've had it happen to me. From teachers going on sexist rants, making fun of kids, or just harassing them. There are maybe 5 teachers I can think of right now that actually put an effort to stop bullying. I mean the learning isn't anything to complain about though, so that's an upside. Overall this school isn't that chalked up as people want it to be, and being in this district my entire life does not give it any help either because I'm not new to their system. I wish this school well and the children in it.

Poor leadership needs to change both principle and superintendent both use to deal with trouble teens and still think they can save em all . But meanwhile the other students and my child suffer from the bullies savor

I would rate them low as it relates to being able to meet the needs of a diverse group

Horrible. The discipline is an issue as well as lack of help for children with disabilities

Presently I have three (3) children attending Grant and I am very satisfied with the agressive approach in teaching techniques. My oldest, who is in her last year, is a high honor roll student with a grade point of 4.6. While I am satisfied with her achievement I am concerned with the lack of minority representation at the teacher level. Over the past 15 years I have witnessed an ever increasing number of minorities moving into the area and I am concerned about how well they can adapt. I wonder what is being done to address this potential problem.
