Our kindergarten teacher was amazing and now so is 1st grade! The staff have been great supports for my son and worked well with him on controlling his impulses and behavior. My only complaint is that there are very few and small consequences for students when they misbehave. My son has had a few big problems but the school consequences for his behavior has been minimal or none at all. (Of course we had consequences at home!) It sometimes feels like the needs of a few outweigh the needs and rights of the majority at this school in terms of problematic behavior and needs.

My child was constantly bullied while at this school. Everett School District claims to have a zero tolerance policy on bullying, yet they do no enforce it. My child needed therapy for self-harm and suicide ideation for the lack of follow through from the school administration. We constantly brought up our concerns, but it wasn't until we told the school that we were going to withdraw our child from school did they actually take us seriously.

Both our kids had a good experience at Penny Creek. Our younger one graduated from here this year. Both of them got in the HC (Gifted) program and enjoyed the academic challenge. Teachers were great and communicated well with the students and parents. PTA was very active and organized activities year round. We had a positive experience overall.

My daughter is in HC and for both the 2nd and 3rd grade she had awesome teachers and school did a great job during the pandemic, The homework's are good , the leadership is good we haven't faced any bullying with kids.

Awful. There are a couple of good teachers but that's it.

I loved this school, but now the administration doesn’t seem to care about our kids any more. I see a leadership problem.

We have had a lot of issues with the principal. She rules the school from behind a desk and has no idea what is really going on.

Horrible. The only saving grace is that there are some very good teachers there, but unfortunately they do not have adequate staff outside during recess, and the teachers are on break during that time, so the kids are basically unsupervised and undisciplined and bullies get away with assault regularly.

Staff doesn’t seem happy. Way too militant. The duties act like prison guards and even try to control the parents and tell them what to do and how to act. Zero fun here

Super disappointed with the administration, the way bullying is handled and the way money is spent (either they have no budget or they are mishandling it).

Awful. Horrible. No good. VERY BAD. Even several teachers have privately agreed that the administration is so terrible that the school is no fun to work at.

My kids completed the first year at Penny Creek and ready to move to grade 1 now. It was a learning experience for me also as to what to expect from school and in turn what school expects from kids and parents. The staff I have dealt with is great including the principal Ms. Heater. It is public school and we all know the limitations the school has. I will definitely encourage parent to get involved in the Natural Leader Program . This program is a great tool for parent to share , voice, advise what school can do better and great way to stay involved in school all the way till elementary years. As , a parent I know I have to put in time and effort and with the help and guiadance of the teachers, kids would do great. You just cannot expect teachers to do everything. If we wasn't good school, parent involvement is a must from academics to sports. Kids enjoyed the learning all other extra -curricular activites

My son was a student in Penny Creek till this year, when he started Gateway Middle School. He was in the HC program and all his teachers were awesome.Penny Creek has a very active PTA and they do lots of fun activities year around. My son really enjoyed the academics and extra-curricular activities, he made some great friends in the school too.

Bullying isn't well regulated here. Teachers don't do anything, I hated 4th and 5th grade.

My son just finished all day kindergarten and we loved his teacher. As an elementary school teacher myself, I am very impressed with the staff and the procedures that are in place. What a great school! This site is incorrect. The principal is Chad Golden and he is AWESOME!!!

This is my kids first year at this school. I find that the two teachers I have right now do not know how to communicate. There should be more notification from the teachers in regards to what is going on with the students in the class. Ms Kee tend to be rigid and unable to adapt to kids that I feel she doesn't like.

I love this school! My daughter has attended for the last 4 years and has loved it! the teachers are amazing and the music program is advanced. The music teacher not only had them sing but has them memorize choreography and play all types of instruments also! They have many programs and fun after school events too. They are caring and make sure the kids are respectful to one another. The only thing bad I have to say is they have one real grumpy lady at the front desk, everything else is stellar!

Rude staff and boy are they noisy, and you would think for good reason. Kids sit on cold cement, staff get to stand or sit in chair. Very poor quality education.
