We have loved Freshwater school! The teachers here are great and really care. They have pride in their school and go the extra mile. Each teacher has an aide in their classroom and plenty of volunteers so the children get a more specialized teaching experience. For me though I am especially grateful for the strong sense of community we were welcomed with. The more involved you are the stronger the community. There are many opportunities for my voice to be heard. Anytime I have an issue they are willing to work with us. My children have really thrived here. We will be sad to move next year.

This school is very bad when it comes to any kind of family problems. They are very elitist and exclusive and not inclusive from my experience. Lacking compassion.

I can not say enough great things about this school. My daughter has been attending for the past year and a half. There is a huge waiting list to get into this school, which only has about 300 students so it is very intimate and hands on. Best thing I could have done for her. Though the school is predominantly comprised of caucasian students and teachers, I was worried that my daughter (being african-american and mexican and literally the darkest skinned person at that school) would face a lot of ostracization and bullying due to her skin tone - but it has been the complete opposite. She has not faced any racial issues or bullying issues and is THRIVING in this school. The teachers are some of the best I have encountered - her principal even hung out with my husband and I at my daughter's birthday party. As a lower income family, we never feel left out and they are able to include everyone without bringing attention to or singling anyone out. Our family unfortunately has to move again and the hardest part about leaving is taking her out of Freshwater. Great school.
