As a previous parent of Mistwood students, I wholeheartedly recommend this small private school. Mistwood provides an individualized education, respecting and understanding different student and family needs. My adult children appreciated not only the education they received at Mistwood but also the friendships they made and the love of learning they still have.

My son went to this failing establishment for 5 years when I noticed his aptitude levels were not that of what I expected I reached out to the school and began to speak to them about their curriculum testing and tracking of children's scholastics they let me know they didn't do any of this and I asked for him to get an aptitude test that I could compare to that of a public school and they withheld for 2 years until I got a court order...Upon testing, it was found that my son was under the 5th percentile in everything..Kate Craig the self-professed special education specialist professional at this failing establishment claimed my son had dyslexia. After being clinically tested it was established that he hasn't any learning disabilities and the only disconnect was that of instruction. This school is a joke and if you wish to have detailed documents and/or Great descriptions of this feeling establishment I am available every day from 8:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m. to discuss. 7074763918 James Shelton I know four parents that pulled their sons from this establishment because of multiple facets of failure in this joke of a school.

Mistwood offers a warm, familiy-like environment for students and parents. It is a place where my child is known, seen and accepted for who he is, and assisted in his development on the journey of becoming. The faculty at Mistwood continue to really meet my child, and myself, where we are, and the sense is that we are traveling on the path together, committed, present, and with safety and care. I am committed to Mistwood, and Mistwood is committed to not just educating, but being a significant aspect of the village it takes to raise a child. My gratitude is deep.

We were lucky to find Mistwood when we did. Our son, who had loved school in the past, had lost his excitement for learning. He was treated poorly by a fellow student and was just a number at his previous school. That all changed when he arrived at Mistwood. He is eager to get to school every day and has blossomed with the support and caring he has been shown by staff. They have a way of making everyone feel respected and appreciated. The flexibility of the staff and their ability to challenge students when appropriate or give extra attention to help them through a challenging task is empowering. We can see a confidence and determination in our child that we had feared was lost before arriving at Mistwood. They have truly changed our lives and we, as a family, are forever grateful!

Mistwood Educational Center has been a lifesaver for our family. Our 5th grader was experiencing intense anxiety in a traditional public school, but at Mistwood they're actually enjoying learning. The teachers are so caring and work hard to make sure every student is getting the support they need. The campus is super fun with a natural area in the back that the kids can muck around in and build forts etc. I've really seen my child start to open up at Mistwood and I can't wait for summer break to be over!

I am a high school teacher and when I was looking for a school for my young son; I wanted a place that was embracing project based learning, cross curricular inquiry and had the whole child holistic approach. It was a tall order, but I found all of it at Mistwood Educational Center and I would never consider sending my child anywhere else.
