My son is a student here and we've had nothing but positive experiences here. He's a Special needs student and all of his teachers and assistants have been top notch and caring! Thumbs up to south euless!!

My oldest son started kindergarten this year. This is a first time full-time school experience for both of us. My Memaw, a teacher of 36 years at Lakewood, begged us to take him to Lakewood, but with the construction on Main Street and her dying the week before school started, it wasn't in the picture. That being said, I had a funeral and viewing to plan and attend on the first 3 days of school. My son hasn't come home with anything. There has been no direction. In order for us to understand the drop off and pickup we have had to call email write notes etc. my son has come home with a balance on his lunch account even though I have packed his lunch daily. I wanted to pay that balance so I walked him into his school at 7:51 and tried to sign in. I was scowelled at and the front desk gave me an attitude. Demanding that since the bell rang I was not allowed to walk with my son or sign in. Then I continued to tell her I needed his id number, which we have never received, in order to pay this balance. She demanded that I was "trying not to understand her" after I told her that I am frustrated with her attitude since this is my first time doing this (and my sons). It isn't a repeated offense, we have never been taught. you are thrown out to the wolves with this school. They are rude and uncaring. No care for my family death. No care for our feeling of confusion and lack of direction. I know one thing, I would never assume a kindergarten mother knows how the school runs. Without any paperwork, meeting, or parent teacher conversation. I have no idea what's been going on with my kid, and I don't feel comfortable even trying to communicate with these inconsiderate employees. I have been trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I have lost interest after this.

I would like to point out something! All the FIVE and FOUR star ratings are from when SEE had a different staff! The new Staff TEACHER, PRINCIPLES, are a big issue now!

Overall the school is great but one of the teacher Mrs .Machum was so rude with my child she passed some remarks and I am surprised that how a teacher bullying a kid.overall principal and vice principal are great.

My kids school is South Euless Elementary. I am sad to say that although we still have some fantastic teachers who show us heart, support, and education - the "excitment feel" is no longer in the school. That comes from the school leadership position. There is no comraderie or team feel any longer. Sad - because this school has had it in the past in bucket fulls. Hats off to the teachers.

We removed our son from this school 2 years ago when we discovered that he didn't grasp the concept of simple addition. We discovered that their idea of teaching math was to draw a picture and tell how you *felt* about your answer. In a meeting with the principal we learned that he considered the school a success because ONLY 68% of his students were in tutoring. He also told me they didn't have enough time to teach the students everything. I found that humorous because the school day is the same length as it was 35 years ago when I was in 2nd grade. Since removing our son from this school he now writes in cursive, has been to math olympics, competed in the regional spelling bee, and completed a 6 week long project (history of texas) just to get the long list started. Sending your child to this school is borderline abuse and you are doing them absolutely no favors. We absolutely think private school is the best way to go but short of that I beg you, please do not send your kids here.

South Euless is an amazing, unusual place. I selected this school for my sons because of the excellent curriculum and loving environment. I have never seen a school where the teachers work so hard to ensure that every student's needs are met. This is a very diverse campus and all of the students/families are extremely respectful of one another. One thing I really liked about this campus was their emphasis placed not only on academics, but also on building exceptional character. If you want to transfer to this school, be prepared because this school is often "full" because so many children are on waiting lists trying to get i! You will love the teachers,,, and they will love your children!

South Euless is an excellent school! The leadership and teaching staff have the student's best interest at heart. I am proud to say that my children attended this school.

Lacks direction, no true leadership, very unfriendly office staff, and too overcrowded. Seek Wilshire, more better all around.

This is by far the best school my children have attended. We moved here from Arlington and even the best school in Arlington isn't as great as South Euless. I love the structure, the anti-bullying methods that teachers use and for the first time ever, my son who is now in 5th grade has scored near perfect on his TAKS exams. I am a Dr. and my husband is an IT Specialist, so education is something we take seriously. I recommend this school, however, there are a few things that I've had concerns with, but my husband and I addressed our concerns. The main thing being assigned seating during lunch time. Students are not allowed to sit with their friends during lunch or their siblings during breakfast, which is upsetting. In addition, they expect students to clean the lunch rooms and wash the tables for them and that is not a child's job! They pay cafeteria personnel for this and should expect them to do their job. Overall, I do like this school academically.

This is an awesome school with a great curriculum for student. They really challenge students to learn but this is done in a interesting approach to keep the students' attention. My boys and I moved here last summer and this was their first school in Tx. The staff and students were so welcoming to my children. I've never met staff so caring about my boys education. Even when my one son was rebellious to the move, they really helped and showed me they were about his education first. I love this school and I really pray I'm able to find a middle school as great as South Euless.

Very low parent involvement, under-qualified teachers, and very poor leadership. If school was so "great" as others want you to assume then it should be noted as a "National Blue Ribbon" school. Where's that rating if academics is so supurb? Curriculum is very low and that says alot. If you want your child to be great and not okay I suggest another school. Check out the feeder to this school, Euless Junior High and that should say alot.

We are new to the district and school. I will say by far, these teachers are the BEST we've experienced and I hate that we were not in the district earlier especially at this school. The 6th grade teachers are fantastic and that explains why the Exemplary status, its the Teachers and the students perform better due to better instruction. We came from Arlington school district and Irving so this has been a GREAT experience for us and I wish we were in district when my son started school in kindergarten. I am a very proud new parent to this school and district.

I am a long time parent at South Euless. I am proud of our Exemplary status, as well as, our school being in the TOP 2 % in TEXAS. The below comments concern me. If you have an issue this "bad" it would seem that you would handle it in house. I cannot stand by silent. There is no way our school to have the above stats they do that we would have an admin that could not communicate with us as parents. Same as the teachers...We would not have the stats above if the teachers were not held accountable for EVERYTHING they do and say in and out of the classroom. Stats do not lie. VERY proud to be South Euless parent and very proud my son is a South Euless student.

I would appreciate the office staff & principal being more understanding & knowledgeable. The principal gets upset & takes everything as a personal jab against him. The office staff tells the parents they don't know the answer. This gets very tiresome. Parents that don't ask questions that could hurt the principal's feelings are the only ones that are made to feel welcome in this school.

My daughter has been going to South Euless for the past 4 yrs. She loves the school, teacher, office staff. As for me not so much when it comes to children with special health needs. Such as asthma, food allergies. They are very defensive when they are called out on situations. The principal takes everything personal and is just very unprofessional. I'm so glad that this is my daughters last year. I think we will send her back to private school just to avoid Euless I.S.D! If anyone would ask me if I would recommend this school. I would not!!!
