I would not recommend this school due to concerns about the principal's lack of integrity and honesty, which significantly impacts the overall school environment, the teaching quality is inconsistent, with many under qualified instructors, leading to a lack of proper learning support and a frustrating experience for students .Also, half of students in this school are slow learner with a learning disability that hurt other students for a variety of complex reasons, often stemming from feelings of frustration, insecurity, or a lack of coping mechanisms when they struggle to keep up academically or socially.

All good reviews come from a few parents with a bunch of kids or people working as teachers to keep their kids in school for free. Don’t trust the reviews; we had to transfer our kid to another school in the middle of school. Very rude and unprofessional staff and poor performance.

I absolutely love this school! All 6 of my kids have attended since they were in Kindergarten. My oldest graduated 8th grade in 2023 and is excelling in high school. The education is top notch AND the faith formation is beyond amazing! We chose this school because of the faith formation and to top ot off the staff and teachers are the most caring and supportive to our families. I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants their children to grow not only academically but also in their Catholic faith!

My kids wake up every day, so excited to go to school. My son told me yesterday "I love going to my school!". The teachers really take the care to pay attention to each student and make sure they are on the right track. There is such a welcoming atmosphere, and I am so excited for the new principal. She is implementing so many things that to provide better school security, boost funding, instill leadership qualities in each student, and help the older and younger students learn and teach as mentors and family dynamics under supervision. I am also seeing more implementation of teaching about God and what it looks like to truly love Jesus and others, through the Catholic education. St Mary Escondido is a phenomenal school.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! Don’t do mistake we did, don’t put your child to this school. With new principal got even worse. Money hungry, they could care less about your child. They will lie straight to you face. Don’t do this to your self. There is better school than this.

We are very happy with the education our child is receiving at St Mary's. The school has been undergoing a lot of changes since the 2013-2014 school year, which I feel are changes for the better. First and foremost, the academics have improved greatly. The school recently purchased a new reading series and now has a full time reading specialist on staff to work with students in small groups who need extra help. For extra math instruction, St. Mary's supplements with an online math program called First in Math. All grade levels attend computer/technology classes at least once a week and all classes have PE twice a week. The school's new PE teacher happens to also be a former NFL player who is bringing a whole new level of expertise to the school. All the teachers are wonderful. They all bring a lot of experience into the classroom but what we love the most about all the teachers is their love and dedication to the children and to their profession. I gave a solid 4 star rating because there is room for improvement in terms of better communication between administration and families. The website and teachers pages are the best means to communicate and we make it work.

School is ok when it comes to teaching your kids, however they are money hungry. I was charged a $270 enrollment fee to register my daughter which understandably is nonrefundable if I decide to change my mind and not send her there. I was also charged first months tuition although she did not attend one day of the new school year which turns out to be a loss of $700 total. This is ridiculous. Principle is worthless and does not properly inform parents about school events.
