I’m a college a student now but I went to this school and it was so traumatizing to me as a 5 grade. There was this math teacher who told me that I wasn’t going to be a no body but look at me I’m proving him wrong and Im never forget this reading teacher who ways mad kids cry.

I'm sure some teachers are wonderful, but my experience has been horrible. Why is the principle still employed by this district? Not personable, can care less about staff, students, and their parents. I'm sure I'm not the first who has complained about how he treats and talks to students and their parents! I don't think he understands what good rapport with parents looks like. Disrespectful and impatient. I'm transferring my child!

My kids have gone to this school for 6 years. I tried to transfer out, but after 3 months discovered he had a wonderful teacher so decided to stay the year! After 6 years and 2 kids and many teachers, i can honestly say this is a wonderful school with helpful and kind office staff, amazing teachers that play sports with the kids at recess and stay after school until 3pm to give your child extra help! This school also has a great and very involved principal that knows many of the kids by name!

My daughter went to school at glen view last year and loved it. When she went in she was good at school, but now she is advanced. She won mental math in the math competition and is at a eleventh grade reading level. She is a fantastic writer and is great at science. Also what they did for the 2013-2014 school year helped out in middle school. They made us trade around classes and helped us be prepared for middle school. The principal is extremely nice and helped my daughter and some friends try to start a school newspaper. My daughter was very sad to leave glen view when she was going in to sixth grade. This is a great school they will help your children to advance.

My children currently attend here. If I have my way , they won't next year. The principal is awful. Always talking of common core and how 5x5 may not be 25 to everyone. He has many issues. I have had problems with subs yelling at my kids. And I tried pulling my kids out of the 2 way spanish and the principal wouldn't let us. Bad experience

If I could give this school a negative rating I would. Previous posters are correct - poor excuse of a principal. He has no idea how to run a school, staff, or communicate with parents. How he hasn't been written up before is beyond me! It is disturbing how he yells and treats the children, but even more disturbing how he aggressively tries to justify his atrocious behavior. I am concerned with the district's standards for hiring and keeping principals. So disappointed in the 'quality' of Glen View's system. It's also in their scores! You want a good education or experience for your child? This school is the wrong place to be.

My kids were in special ed and often complained about how they were treated by the principal and office staff. I already had issues with the front office before and all I could say is you could thank them for this school's low quality system.

I quit this school because of how employees were treated. I quit the district because of how they handled my complaints about this school's politics. Not recommended for any potential employees. Or students for that matter. You are just data to them.

I have been very hesitant about putting my child in any school in escondido. I figured since Glenn view was a little more on the out skirts it might not be so bad, but I was very wrong. The school has shown time and time again lack of consistancy in routines and direction to the children and communication to the parents. I think its interesting all the positive reviews say something about it being bilingual and having bilingual programs. Well I personally don't see anything special about this school. The principle just makes excuses with your concerns. I don't recommend this school to any parent if you have a choice and you care about your child's education.

Glen View has extraordinary teachers who are truly dedicated to my child and achieving that opportunity to be ready for college in the future! I really appreciate the time given by the teacher to work out some problems my child was having. She was insightful and helped with ideas to improve the situation. The principal, Mr. Carrasco, was also very concerned and met with us to make sure we were all working for the improvement of my child's school experience. Thank you, teachers!!

I loved it! I'm two minutes from Bernardo Elementary (9/10 Great Schools rating), but my parents drove me across town to go to Glen View because of the two-way language program there. Cannot be more grateful for my education at Glen View!

My son went to this school for less than 3 months, switched hum teachers. First teacher would not watch the kids and would get easily distracted , second teacher would be constantly texting in front of me and my husband ( while class was in session) walked in on her screaming all the time to these kindergarteners and she is supposed to be the best teacher. Principal is very disrespectful and has anger problems yells all the time he man handles kids as I and many parents witnessed and all complained. Tells you how bad of a school this is when they give you the choice to switch your student to another school by your decision ( you don't have to apply or say anything, they automatically send application home) . It tells you everything with their scores, if someone went to this school did a survey or petition I guarantee about 90% would be against the school. I say it as a witness our child's future( education) is so important , I would never recommend this school for anyone. Its sad to say that a lot of these parents can't do anything to move their children schools either because of low income, transportation or work related circumstances. It's your child's education CHERISH IT!

My daughter came to this school as a 5th grader and I was hesitant about sending her to this school because the test levels aren't good. My daughter and I both love this school. Her teacher is one of the best teachers she has ever had and is very involved with the kids and does everything to help them learn.
