The principal did not disclose to parents when someone was threatening to "shoot up the school", They also do not allow kids to freely go see the nurse when they are sick, they try to keep them in the classroom as much as they can. Their answer is he or she is always saying they are sick. They allow a certain group of older kids to bully and run the recess and lunchtime. Children are constantly being told to be quiet in a yelling ton during lunch with threats. There is no control and the vice principal/principal does not work together well. You should really volunteer to spend time on campus as a parent if you want to see what is really happening at the school level. You may think your child is doing well, but how are they really retaining information on a one-week or few-day learning structure with Common core. They allowed very young off-campus supervisors to watch a classroom full of students. I witnessed them yelling and threatening students if they were not quiet. I defiantly called on this. PTO does good events, but where is your money going? It could be accounted for or not. If you ask the district they do not get involved in PTO and can not. So maybe avoid giving too much, they won't be able to back it with documentation. You won't be allowed in their group and if you are they will talk about you behind your back. I attempted to follow guidelines and get them voted off at due time. But they overruled the policy and came back another year. the principal cannot control them and if she knew what they were saying about her!Feickiart has the potential to be a great school but children need obedience if necessary and if the teacher no longer wants to work, please retire. IEP teachers should be available for each student with needs but overseen to make sure they also are doing the right thing and staying in line.

So this is the 2nd year my daughter has been a victim of bullying and I am almost about to pull her from school because the vice principal told me the kid who bullied her would not play on basketball team, but he actually ended up playing and no consequences were ever done. So the vice principal lied to me just to appease me at the time. Which is unacceptable. So this bully is racist against darker skinned girls and is bullying my daughter and her friends and nothing is being done and even the principal tried to tell my daughter not to go up to office as much, which is so not okay since obviously she does not feel safe there now the principal is tryin to bully my daughter into not calling her parent when she doesn’t feel safe. Y is nothing being done, who thinks this is okay and I will find every website and repost this because I’m sick of feickert and how they have treated me and my child.

My children have thrived at Feickert elementary school. The teachers are caring and compassionate. We have no complaints at all.

Ellen Feickert School is absolutely amazing. The moment you walk on campus you are greeted with smiles. The Principal,Mr. Murchison ,staff, and teachers are top notch. My twin grandsons love the school. They have had nothing but positive things to say about school. I highly recommend this school. Sincerely, Faye Roediger

Feickert is excellent as long as you stay on top of things as a parent. There are some amazing teachers and some lazy ones. Because of budget cuts they have had to cut amazing staff and educational trips like Sutter's Fort overnight! If you stay savvy you will figure out the gems like Mrs. Start, Mrs. Uebner, Mrs. Zhender, Mr. Larson, Mrs. Stafford and Mrs. Korvink. If you are not an involved parent then take the risk of a lazy teacher. The principal is very good and listens but can be frustrating. A close family friend with a very bright, well behaved, high performer on the STAR test was not allowed to leave her 5th grade teachers class she had been assigned to and move into Mr. Larsons class (one if the best teachers there next to Mrs. Uebner)! The excuse was lack of space. She threatened to move her child from the school to Bradshaw Christian, and the principal did not care when he should have! Ironically, a week after leaving, Mr. Larson received an emotionally disruptive foster kid in his class! That just seemed wrong!! So overall, Feickert is a very good, safe school as long as you get involved and listen to who is good and push for those teachers.

My daughters have attended Feickert for 3 years now. Except for one 5th grade teacher who very much soured my daughter on school, our other teachers have been excellent. Mr Larson is a real asset to this school as is the principal. I have worked as a classroom mom for 3 years and I have seen some great parent involvement but trying to help nominate the school for monetary prizes thru Raleys and other events have failed miserably. Maybe its the economy and parents just don t have time to get involved.

Imagine 5th grade with no book reports, class projects or any other responsibilities other than passing the star test which is just math and English. Welcome to Feickert.
