I love this school! As a parent, if you want to be involved, sign up as there is always room to help! Ms White and Mr Duffy are amazing! As for children, they don't like school in general. Teach them at home to be strong and they will go out into the world as warriors!

The assistant principal picks and chooses favorites as well as the principal. I’m so glad I moved my child from the school. They do nothing about the bullying and shrug it off. They don’t communicate or care about how the kids feel. My child was getting bullied by teachers and when told the assistant and the principal, they did not take action.

I have a daughter in 9th doing very well in AP and Honors. I also have a son in the middle school, also doing very well. I don't push them like some parents do, in fact I want them to be kids and I feel like this school does an excellent job of that. There is a nice balance at school mainly due to it being an agriculture based community and I'd like to see it stay that way. I have been very impressed with the teachers. I never check grades, any updates, or anything but they have the app thing if thats your pace. If you have to check your kids grades without being able to just ask them on occasion you need to rethink your parenting. A couple of things to add. They have a new football stadium that is nice. The AG teacher is great and is going to build it into a good program. They have good AP classes. The bus drivers are really good and work really hard. I think most of the kids are good as well at the school. I would like to see a little more yes mam, no sir, door holding but finding that in todays generation is hard to come by "wish the kids were a little more country overall". That being said its a good school academically "not great", but it isn't a snobby school with a bunch of clicks either. If I was a kid it would be one of the only schools I would want to go to in Baldwin county, the others being Gulf Shores and Robertsdale. PS> get rid of homework or 90% of it. My daughter has missed many beach days, fishing, farming to write a paper etc. She would have learned more fishing, farming, or crashing in the waves. Also the poster that said she had an issue with the 5th grade why post into the high school "headscratch".

This school is a true high school now, we had our first graduating class in 2021. I've tried contacting Greatschools.org to make the proper connections but so far nothing yet.Elberta high school hasn't been a 7-10 school for over two years. The high school consists of 9-12 grades, 7th and 8th graders are part of the middle school. Both schools are at the same address but are separated by the different buildings. During the 2019/2020 school year the HS added 11th graders, in 2020/2021, the school had its first graduating class. The school and these students work their tails off to be one of the best schools around, I think we owe it to them to give them the credit they deserve. As you can tell all of the reviews on this school are long before Elberta started the process of becoming a high school in the 2017/2018 school year.

My experience with Elberta Middle School has been extremely positive. This is a caring, nurturing school, even at the Jr High level. Few discipline problems, excellent academic scores, strong instuctionial, extra curriculum enrichment ,sports. International Baccalaureate program available for high school.

Keep up with the knowing of each and every student, by name or face,,,etc.... And getting the parents or grandparent involved in whats going on with the child.

we came to this school from another school nearby. I have been completely dissapointed. There is hardly any communication from teachers or school about school events, programs ect. unless you go out of your way to find out. There are no clubs or extra curricular activities for 5th graders. The teachers do not let the parents know quarterly what they will be teaching. There are no honor roll ceremonies until the end of the year. They do hardly any innovative or exciting projects to keep kids interested and motivated. They seem to be behind other schools on what they teach. There is hardly any homework or study. And what bicycle activity? What newspaper? communications do not exist. I am very dissapointed and depressed about this school. Foley elementary was such a superior school that the change has been one of shock.
