I loved this school. The teachers and the staff members are wonderful. They care about the students. If the students are struggling with a class they will make sure the child get help right away. Once a month the parents can go to their child P.E. class and participate with their child.

I rate parkland elementary school great, cause teachers have the patience with the students. Tje students have very good manners and are real respectful students. My grandkids go there to school and I as their grandma have notice the difference from other students that don't have respect for older persons.

We have been here for two school years, and I have LOVED the teachers my children have had. They are very hard working, caring, and I feel like they take the extra step to help the students. The administrators try very hard to make parental involvement a priority, but unfortunately, parents here show little to no interest in their child's education. As hard as the school tries, the parents just do not care. Pros: -Once a month they do a family fitness day where families are encouraged to come and participate in the P.E. class. -At awards assemblies, they make a very big deal about achievements, hard work and character traits. I have noticed that the children really get pumped up during these. -Parent teacher conferences are a big deal and it is always stressed how important it is to attend. -Reading program does great at encouraging students to read. -Always sending progress reports home to keep parents informed -Office staff is very nice and helpful. -Adapted college prep skills to upper grades to help them be more organized and to prepare them for middle and high school. (AVID) Cons: -Parent involvement -Discrimination -Lack of teacher supervision after classes are let out.
