My childrens' experiences (2016-2022) on no way resemble the complaints of other reviewers. The school quickly became their community and they were inspired and challenged academically and personally. One who has graduated was well prepared for college and placed very highly in his college placement exams across subjects. The environment was supportive while pushing students to reach their potential.

I was a student at this school during the 2000s: continued-- ...and in the past, ethiopian Orthodox believers. They are militantly legalistic with following the rules versus providing compassion & big picture Christianity to these kids who are far away from home. Most of the kids who graduate from this school do not* continue to practice this form of Christianity, & in fact, quite a few renounce Christianity completely. When i was there, the best education I received was from the English & Math department. Every single teacher who taught those subjects well at the time are no longer there. History & Civics are taught horribly skewed from a conservative perspective. In fact, conservative politics is woven into the students religious education seamlessly. The science curriculum was abysmally taught from instructors untrained in those fields. The biology teacher has had no background in biology in college. The rest of the sciences are taught by an instructor who's notorious among students for his sub-par teaching skills. I can say from experience it was not fun re-learning chemistry, physics, & biology from scratch in college. Try to find a better school for your child.
