My experience with this school has been far worst. The communication line for planning events with the parents are completely broken beyond repair. Prior to going to the school during my lunchbreak I made contact with the receptionist who stated I bring the payment during my lunchbreak due to the deadline being 2 May 2019. Parents are aware to send money to fundraise school events by a certain deadline, but then they fail to tell the parent they make a deposit 9:45 a.m. everyday and can't accept any more funds during that day when the flier specifically states the deadline is 2 May 2019. I drove 23 miles from FT Lee on my lunchbreak at noon to make a payment, another receptionist and principal then tells me " oh we can't take the funds we do deposits at 9: 45 a.m. My reaction is it's pass the deadline to may payment and this is something parents should be aware of if that's the case. My thing is if parents don't remember to send the money with the kid on the bus and decided to bring the payment to school at noon, the school can't accept because yall decided to do a early deposit after school started 0900. What type of organization is this ? Then a year prior my son was suspended off the bus for 10 days after defending himself from a bully. At times I feel this school still has racism in their school system. This school is not military friendly and truly don't view things from a parent perspective. Staff is very rude especially the principal Mr. Scruggs.

Love this school. My son wasn't tested for gifted until coning here and made it into P.A.C.E. immediately thanks to the teachers willing to work with a highly intelligent child with A.D.H.D. He is now in middle school in all advanced classes and had had 2 perfect 600 scores on S.O.L.s . He also was awarded a scholarship from John Tyler to attend a summer enrichment class on engineering and SCI chemistry. Had we not moved to this school he would not have received all the extra things as a gifted child.

My experience with this school was horrible. My son with special needs was abused by one of the staff members and when I addressed my concern, I was told that maybe he who is 4 and the staff who is in her 30's just don't get alone. I had 3 doctors tell me that I need to be concerned because it was clear that something had happened. This school is more concerned with protecting its staff then it is the students. Parents please be aware...

David A. Harrison Elementary School is wonderful!!!! My granddaughter attended a private school before moving to Disputanta. The experience she had last school year at Harrison was outstanding!! I have to mention her teacher, Wanda Davis....what a great teacher. She truly works with her students & helps them reach for the starts.

Harrison Elementary School is in a nice area. I was only there once cause my daughter just started the last grading period of last year. I liked the school. I liked her teacher very much. I was welcomed by everyone.

We are a military family and lived on post so my kids had to go here, my 2 oldest kids did ok there, they actually had good teachers but I also have a special needs child who went here and they were very rude and disrespectful to him and his needs, my child would get suspended every other week for reason that made no since at all, the special needs teachers and other staff members do not need to be working with kids with special needs at all. My child lived going to school and would cry if he was sick and couldn't go but after a few months here he would cry and beg not to go to school because people are mean to him. He would come home and tell us that his teacher would use the words " retard and stupid" all the time. We finally had to pull him out and home school him until we finally moved to a new state and he is finally in a great school and he is living going to school again. So I would no advise sending your child here especially if they have special needs

I would not recommend this school. We are currently stationed at Fort Lee, Va, and my kids have to take a 30 minute ride to and from school! Also, the teachers are not organized and prompt with the concerns of my children. The staff are Not approachable nor friendly. If your child is not fulfilling all their performance, they totally ignore that fact just to build their test scores. I am not satisfied with the teaching curriculum. I personally had to request them, just to make sure that my child is and will continue on his grade level. This school is a bad representation of a civilian school, being that this is the first school that my children have attended outside of a post community. *Advice Alert* - Avoid this community as well as this base all together!
