first off the dress code is out of date and updated a few days ago and it took them 3 school years to update it and second of all the students are very judgemental and they only look at you from how you look from the outside so I would not recomend sending your kids there and its coming from a student myself so I know what realy happens

This school is horrible. It used to be ok until they started injecting politics into the classroom. When confronted about any issue, the principal, administrator and teachers have a standard answer. The basically say thanks for your feedback. They don’t attempt to fix a problem even if a parent can prove the teacher is wrong via education. Apparently having doctoral degrees mean nothing if the principal and administrator do not understand the topics unless a parent walks them through the subjects. Even then they will continue to either ignore the parent or refuse to fix the problem. The arrogance is astounding. The only way to get anything done is to go to the school board. Even then it is hard to get the problem resolved even though the school board member agrees the teacher is wrong. Regardless these people are arrogant. Even when the most simple topic is proven to be wrong, they would rather the kids believe a lie than to correct it.

This is a great school and the communication is really good. I feel that my child grows in her learning at this school and I recommend this school for other kids.

An amazing school, the teachers are nice and the kids are nice. Relationships are born here. I would recommend this school.

Grateful for my time there. I went to Lincoln Charter from 7th grade until 12th and graduated years ago. While there were many typical high school occurrences (kids drama, occasional bullying, etc) I wouldn’t trade my experience for anything. I came from a broken childhood and acted out. Lincoln Charter helped 100%. I couldn’t appreciate it when I was there, but looking back at it now I see how much it really helped. After high school, I went on to college fully prepared and became the youngest Director in my industry. I couldn’t have done it without LCHS. If you’re reading this, I would strongly recommend giving your child a chance at Lincoln Charter.

Exceptional. Teaching staff is enthusiastic, driven and making strides to make the school better every day.

We have little to barely any diversity, students that have low income and can’t afford senior trips even ones to the state fair do not get the trip payed for. The principal tries to fit in with the students instead of being more of an authority figure and keeping a professional relationship. Most of the teachers do not try to help the best in their ability for students and the ones that do have no say in how the school runs. The courses that are available to take is a very small list and gives barely any options to choose from to help find future careers. They give you what you need but not enough to help you find your future there. It is a college prep school but the least college oriented one in our area. Overall the school used to be good but since I have gotten into high school it has gotten a lot worse.

We started this year and we love it! Teachers and staff have been fabulous, especially compared to CMS teachers we had throughout elementary. We also experienced bullying by a teacher at CMS. My son has excelled at LCS and we are looking forward to the next 5 years!!

This a fantastic school. My children consistently are learning things well in advance of their peers. This school offers a family type feel and a true since of school community. So happy to be a part of LCS!

Not a good school if you have a child that needs to be challenged. They brag that they have a college prep curriculum but are way behind the other Charter Schools in regards to what they offer the kids

A sinking ship. Offers less opportunities and experiences than the public school system.

They like to "exclude" students if they do not like them. They will find every way possible to justify such behavior. Adult bullying at it's finest!

Our experience started out great. Kindy was wonderful. It was downhill from there. - No community involvement- Limited electives- Zero clubs, after school activities for Elementary- No programs for accelerated students- Administration not open to new ideas. Smoke and mirrors.- No communication- They claim to offer dual curriculum however I have not seen evidence of this in recent years. Teaching to the test.- No fun activities for the kids. - Very little time outside- Way too much time watching cartoons and movies unrelated to what they are learning. We are currently exploring other options.

There are no words to describe the environment at this school. I can only speak for lower grades at the Lincolnton West campus. They create "robotic" children and it's obvious that this is the overall goal. This school is not one for creative and outgoing kids. Staff will not address your concerns and the teacher have their favorites. This school and staff ruined my child's self-esteem at an early age. He was left with feelings of worthless and feels like nothing he could ever do on an academic level is good enough. I'd refer back to the public school system before fighting a lottery to get in.

This school does an amzing job using smoke screens, and magical mirrors. What was once a school for children to have a safe, productive enviornment for learning, quickly (within 3 years) turned theor focus to a "college prep" facility. It is not for every student and family. Our child attended from the get go in Kindergarten. It seemed "too good to be true" as far as the family feel, and the intimacy displayed between faculty, staff, students, and parents. It continued through First and Second Grade. That's when everything changed. And the change was for the worst.Your socio-economic place in society begins to play a role at that point. (Or it did for us)We are not the parents who are able to hang around the school all day running errands, cutting out this and that, delivering cold lunches that are catered in on cheap, unstable carts, lounging with the faculty, abd being a substitute teacher. (Yes, you can do that, or be a teacher outright there, because there isn't a prerequisite as far as education or degree to teach there) In short, we were not a part of the clique, or the "favorites," There are plenty of those however, so, getting preferential treatment is difficult. They will do an amazing job to keep that very discreet, to the point of strongly disagreeing with you if you ask about that. Once to the pint of an emotional outrage, Don't be fooled. The teachers will harass and target students who do not follow protocol, and can think for themselves. In essence, it is a tactic used to "weed out" the undesired students that don't fit into this, and the issues listed above. They claim to have zero tolerance with bullying and bad behavior. That couldn't be further from the truth and quiet frankly is very contradictory, as the staff encourages AND participates in these tactics.I saw our child's , what was once off the charts, self esteem, and eagerness to learn plumit as a rendering of said practices. We attended for 5 years, and we wished, we could take the last 2 back. I believe in structure and discipline, as our child would be the first to tell you, however, I do not condone micro-management, or, not allowing a child to be a child. I do not like the brainwashing methods they implement, under the radar mind you, & are told how to think. If you desire for your child to be a robot, this is the place if you can be there all the time. Otherwise, reconsider

This school is not for everyone. My son started school in the 1st grade at the Lincolnton West campus. The first few years were okay. The last two have been terrible. I agree with order and structure, but they take it to the extreme. The students are micro-managed. The school allows and encourages tattle telling ridiculous things. The staff emails parents or send kids to the office over talking in class or turning around. It is to the extreme. If you can lounge at the school all day and get to know some staff, then you have it made. Otherwise, If you work full time and cannot be there often, your child will not be a favorite. Nepotism and clique oriented environment. Many retired public school teachers who give an impression that they hate their jobs and the students. Bullying DOES happen at this school. They do a superior job of covering up the "bad" that occurs but they are no better than the public school system.
