Overall we were very disappointed in Northfield HS and ultimately decided to leave after a year. Feels like they are still managing their rapid growth so a lot of logistical aspects were very disorganized. Kids seem to feel very disassociated from the school and there's little enthusiasm for school events and activities. My child truly loved some of the teachers but he never felt pushed academically so overall the school just wasn't a good fit.

Can't say enough good things about this school. The best DPS school and one of the best in the state. State champs in so many things and academics are wonderful.

in 2021 , a student at Northfield High School won a Gold Key in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, the nation's longest running and most prestigious recognition program for creative teens in grades 7-12

My daughter loves Northfield. I was nervous about it because it's a newer school, but it's been great so far.

Coming from an extremely successful middle school experience at McAuliffe, the bar was set pretty high and honestly, we were worried about the transition for our daughter with special needs.However, it has been the easiest transition ever and we couldn’t be happier!

I have a freshman and sophomore at NHS - each a very different student profile; however, each has found their place at Northfield. It is growing school with a small feel. There are numerous ways to get involved and when a student doesn't, it seems as if it is noticed and he/she is asked to help on a project. The leadership is what I admire most, which trickles down to supported teachers, which trickles down to successful students.

Our experience at Northfield has been great. Our son is a Jr. and we love that there are options for him to do some IB coursework or go for the whole IB diploma, depending on the student. The teachers have been fantastic and really care how the students are doing, as well as the administration who actually know the kids. And there are lots of opportunities to compete in sports and clubs for everyone to be involved. Glad we’re part of the Northfield community! We will have another student there next year.

Excellent! My student is a senior and has had a terrific experience at Northfield. Challenging coursework, honors, AP and IB curriculum + a full array of activities, clubs and sports make this the perfect traditional high school. Bonus: The size of the school is one of the keys to its success; the engaged and energetic teachers and administration are committed to getting to know each student's strengths and offer one-on-one support when and where needed. I have been so impressed and happy with our decision to be a part of building Denver's newest comprehensive high school.

My daughter is a freshman at Northfield and we have had nothing short of an exceptional experience at this school. She has been academically challenged and has also had the opportunity to participate in clubs and sports. She is thriving in an inclusive and diverse environment. She is excited to go to school every day!

This comprehensive Denver High School is robust in it's offerings for academics, arts and athletics. Great administrators, teachers and staff plus very inclusive and diverse.

We have had an exceptional experience at NHS. My son is a freshman and has been challenged academically with rigorous course work, amazing teachers and compelling classroom environments! The leadership at this school is absolutely INCREDIBLE! The principal and Assistant Principals strive to get to know each and every kid in the building. They hold students accountable and challenge them to be the very best self. Athletics reminds me Friday Night Lights...each game is filled with parents, students and community members all cheering on the team sports! We LOVE Northfield!

I would rate it negativly due to the fact that the scool is unable to have a kitchen along with the school unable to check the homework of the student

My son studies there and is thriving. He's taking classes like engineering, Mandarin Chinese and martial arts. The school was hurt early on by its first principal, who made a lot of very strange decisions. But it seems to have recovered and is doing very well.

Intentionally diverse school with a great staff and student culture. It is new and working to get all sustems in gear but this is a wonderful school for our community.
