This school is so bad. They are making kids Clean up during the week without them doing anything wrong! its a whole system of random students having to clean up after other students for a whole week straight! And school work just makes me stress out like crazy. In total, this school is terrible. I would not recommend this school.

Mcauliffe is an outstanding middle school that excels in providing a well-rounded, nurturing, and challenging environment for its students - while promoting self advocation. The faculty go above and beyond to inspire a love of learning, ensuring that each student reaches their full potential academically and personally. The school's commitment to character development is equally impressive, fostering a culture of respect, empathy, and leadership among students. With its diverse range of extracurricular activities, students are encouraged to explore their interests and develop new talents, all within a supportive community. MIS truly prepares students with the confidence and skills they need to succeed.

We have had a really great experience here. The staff and teachers have made this school great for my son with adhd and dyslexia

My daughter had 3 medical conditions and a 504 that they refuse to honor so anytime my daughter had any symptoms they gave her detention for leaving the classroom. My other daughter was constantly sexually harassed by another student and the vice principal said there is no proof. Both of my children were traumatized from this school.

Hi! My name is Rie and i went here for a year. 6th grade was the worst year of school i had. Im so glad that i left. Its so big that the teachers dont care about the students, so the students go on and beat me and my friends up for no reason. And the kick out the good teachers for trivial problems while the bad teacher can get away with physicaly hitting some students.

McAuliffe International was a real disappointment--especially since we chose our home here for this good school district. My very bright kid fell behind at this school. And she was harassed for her medical conditions. She came to McAuliffe already with a 504 Plan which they refused. They demanded that all of the doctors be replaced. They refused homebound education when she was particularly sick. Be aware that 2 of the administrators are comfortable lying to protect themselves or others.Academically, McAuliffe makes your student a worse writer/communicator. They teach the kids to NEVER use paragraphs and instead write one long run-on paragraph. Further, my kid skated by on some material because it was what she already learned in 5th grade and only had to regurgitate for 8th grade. My kid wants to go to college. This school does not set her up for it. They have conditioned her that getting a "C" is a good grade. :(

As a current student at McAuliffe International School, I very much recommend this school because even though there are some bad things like kids cussing and fighting, you have to remember that we are middle schoolers and I bet some of you have done the same thing. Mcauliffe handles those things very well and the security has gotten better over the last two years that I've been there. The education that they provide is excellent and I feel like I've grown a lot after going to Mcauliffe I have met so many new people and I definitely feel really included in things and supported by a lot of my peers.

McAuliffe International is the gold standard of Middle School public education in Denver. Teachers love to teach and are committed to the whole growth of kids while getting them ready for High School and College. The academics and "McAuliffe Way" are outstanding, and my son has flourished by being pushed every day. The whole education experience is transparent and as a parent, you are provided a wealth of information to keep up to date on your child's progress. The school leadership is committed to making sure that teachers, parents and the community are heard, and they have a continuous improvement mindset. The campus and school building are beautiful, and the facilities are constantly maintained. Sports are big at McAuliffe but not the central focus. School teams excel in many disciplines and the school spirit is infectious. The school offers many unique experiences to kids including end of year trip to the YMCA of the Rockies, travel field trips to Washington DC, NY, Costa Rica, etc. Before and After school programs are great and diverse. My child loved designing a company in “Shark Tank” and it sparked their entrepreneurial spirit. The school is also very aware that families come from a wide range of backgrounds and offers a host of programs and opportunities to families to make sure kids can participate no matter their background or financial situation. What I personally appreciate, and love is that there is a very large team of students called the SHINE TEAM that is actively involved in school activities and the program creates an opportunity for kids to volunteer and learn leadership skills. McAuliffe is effective at taking Elementary School kids and transitioning and preparing them to be the leaders of tomorrow. I highly recommend sending your 6-7-8th graders to McAuliffe International. We have been nothing but pleased by our experience with our oldest child and plan on sending the rest of our kids to McAuliffe. You can't go wrong at McAuliffe International!

This school is awful. My daughter went here and I pulled her out. There are fights happening on a daily basis. Apparently vaping is a major issue which us parents weren't even informed about. She came home and said that the kids at school were vaping in the bathroom. I was astonished. Poor communication with parents. She has maintained good grades, but the environment is extremely toxic. The teachers are good, but that doesn't matter much when your surroundings are violent and unhealthy. Shame on this school for not letting the parents know about these issues. I was surprised to find out about all of this when I searched her phone and saw SnapChat videos of kids fighting. And I mean actually fist fighting. There was a 2 on 1 video and one child was kicked in the head! Unbelievable. Do not send your child here.

I have seen multiple kids wearing Mcauliff T shirts fighting at skyline park on a daily basis. I have also seen the kids bullying other children that are smaller than them or or just being disrespectful is disrespectful to other children at the park.I remember when my daughter went to this school and the school held their students to a higher standard. I know if my child was caught bullying or fighting and representing their school shirt she would have gotten in trouble by that school at that time but from what I understand Mcauliff has changed and is not the same. It is sad to see this. And the kids know that they will get Away with this behavior because even when adults have intervened they are disrespectful.

My child has been there since the start and it's been very easy to communicate with the staff and she has had nothing but good experiences with the teachers. The IB program has been effective in not only developing her academically, but also as a respectful and conscientious person aware of global and local issues.

The previous comment about bullying is completely opposite of what my husband and I experienced. My child was on the receiving end of bullying. The McAuliffe administrators did an outstanding job of tackling the issue when it was brought to light. They were swift, thorough, and highly communicative to us and our child. It's unfortunate it happened (and it happens at all schools) but I am confident my child is in a very safe and secure environment because of how the situation was handled. Great leadership and decisive action!

Constant, serious bullying not being communicated to parents, even though documented.

I have two kids enrolled at the school. Great leadership and amazing teachers. Both my kids are excited to go to school every day. The longer school is a little bit hard for them to adjust to but we all love that they get little to no homework so when the kids are done for the day, they are done. Highly recommend.
