Awful school culture, unhelpful administration, no consequences for students. Student behavior is out of control, and teachers are blamed, without any support from administration. Teachers are told to not ask for support unless a student throws something larger than a chair. Dysfunctional school.

I feel they are doing a great job with my grandson who is in the affective needs program and he is only in kindergarten and has made progress!!

This school epitomises the poor examples that were shown in Waiting for Superman. I am sure the teachers would be excellent if given the guidance and support from an excellent leader who would be a champion for the children. It is not the children's fault of the situation that they were born into. And why do they have to put their heads down at lunch time? It seems like the practices they propagate at prisons! Try fund raising!

I am a teacher there and know from first hand experience the dedication and commitment each teacher has in teaching this high poverty population. We strive daily to find creative and researched ways to reach these children and help them become successful members of our society. I have one child who does not live near to Fairview, but is driven to school each day by his parents. This school was recommended to them because of Fairview's academic excellence and high diversified population.
