Our child goes to Trinity for about 7 years and we are truly blessed.

I am extremely disappointed with my son’s experience at Trinity Christian Academy. After attending both preschool and the last two years at the school, his time there has been marred by a negative and dismissive attitude from the staff and teachers. The condescending tone and sarcastic remarks have taken a toll on his self-esteem and overall happiness. These past two years have been particularly damaging to his emotional well-being. The constant judgment and lack of empathy from staff have chipped away at his confidence and stifled his natural joy for learning. It’s heartbreaking to witness the adverse effects on a child who is naturally joyful, full of humor, and eager to see the good in every situation. Unfortunately, in a school environment where teachers and staff often appear unsmiling and are quick to label behavior as disrespectful or disruptive, it becomes nearly impossible for a child to hold on to their sense of humor and positivity. While my son is not perfect—no child is—he is full of life, curiosity, and a genuine love for learning. However, his experience at this school has left him anxious and unsure of himself, constantly second-guessing every word and action, as if walking on eggshells. No 10-year-old should feel this way during such crucial formative years. Children deserve to feel safe, to ask questions, to explore, and to make mistakes as part of the learning process.I deeply regret enrolling my son in a school led by unqualified directors and teachers who seem ill-equipped to manage their responsibilities. Their approach, rooted in harshness and excessive control, is not only ineffective but also harmful to a child’s education and emotional development. Children thrive in environments that nurture their curiosity, encourage their voices, and support their individuality—not in places that suppress them. Additionally, the leadership exhibits clear favoritism, often granting leniency to children of friends and pastors, despite behaviors that are far more disruptive than my son’s. This inequity creates an unfair and toxic environment, undermining the values of fairness and respect that should guide any educational institution. Led by favoritism for children and family of friends. There are plenty of Pastors children who behaviors are worst than my son, yet they get a pass each and every time.

Our daughter was denied admission because she had “anxiety at testing” and they sent us to have her do therapy and to repeat a grade! They offered her a spot and as we were leaving to buy her the uniforms they called us and said they changed their mind after reading her evaluation! We tried to contact the principal to get an explanation and he never returned any emails or phone calls. Very disappointed as Christians to see Christian people running a school with this type of discrimination!

I am single mother and my daughter had a daddy daughter dance/ mommy son dance . I asked if i could take her since i was her only parent and she really wanted to go and my dad couldn’t cause he was battling cancer and was in pain . The lady said of course . Days later the head master Karen Neher sent me an email stating that i would be able to take her because karen neher wants to maintain a theme for the event . When i went to buy a ticket i wasn’t allowed till i gave a man’s name . Not being given a choice to take a child to an event because she doesn’t have a father , and being outcast due to discrimination was by far the most un godly , uncompasionate thing . We are people . If same sex marriages can be legal why can same gender parent take their kid to a special dance ? This school is money driven and karen neher is ego driven . I think the s book is in need for a new head master . We know more good , love and support in our communities not division . Discrimination at its finest.

My two kids are very happy with TCA School, so I am. we're being in that school for 4 years now and before they were in public system with bullies and uninterested teachers just waiting for the last ring bell to leave.Trinity school, yes, can be overwhelming sometimes with homework and activities. but if you want to prepare your child for a competitive world that's the only way. This school is not for lazy kids or parents. About prices on uniforms, is a private school what do you expect?During pandemic times they closed for a few weeks, but school staff and teachers never stopped working. They did online for a few months and then is go back to regular. TCA is so workaholics that even at 8 or 9 PM you see people working there. Beat that! public schools.Learning under the guidance of Jesus and away from politics and weird stuff is all what kids needs.

We are new to the area and have been very underwhelmed with the school. We are actually not that upset about the boys teachers, they seem to be doing a good job (4th and 5th grade) but they have alot of homework. We came from a public school in Tennessee and they were ahead of where their peers are in Math but behind in ELA. So, its worked out where they are catching up but its kinda odd that at a Private School, they are not ahead of both areas compared to the public school. We are looking for options for next year as we don't plan on returning. The drop off and pick up situation is a disaster, its not safe and I'll leave it at that. The uniforms are terrible and overpriced as mentioned by another reviewer. The administration overall isn't very good, the front receptionist is rude and they do not communicate well about school dates and events.

My children attended the school for middle and high school years. It provided them with a firm foundation for college and the workplace, and greatly grew them in their faith.

Not as good as we thought. Way too much money for having to teach our child our selves. Nothing here for special needs students. Very little tolerance for children who need counseling or any other psychological problems. A great school for students seeking sporting scholarships. Head Master Karen Nehr seems brash and controlling. No room for children who don’t fit the mold. After raising 3 other children, I can compare this school to many others. Not satisfied at all. What may have been a good school before ...is no more.

We enrolled our Grandson in VPK at Trinity Christian Academy. Aside from the tuition @ TCA being significantly greater than other private/Christian schools and the amount of money they charge for their uniforms.... We thought it would be a great school for our Grandson, especially since it is a Christian school. We decided to enroll him for Kindergarten. I hate to admit that I wish I had done more research on TCA before we did. It appears to me, that the main goal and priority at Trinity is PROFIT NOT Education. For one, the emphasis implemented on uniforms is extreme... The fact that a child would be written up for forgetting to wear a belt or if they wore uniform bottoms that were not purchased from TCA is a bit much. (I assume after 3 write up's they charge a fee). They charge a $5.00 fee if your child is late to school more than three times. They charge $24.95 per polo (w/logo) "understandable"... but $24.95 per pants or shorts is a bit much in my opinion. (I don't know what the cost is for skirts or dresses)... They also mandate that the student wear their sweaters, hoodies, etc... indoors. They charge $50. Anyone who has purchased uniform pants knows they can be purchased most anywhere from $8 to $15, give or take a dollar or two). Not quite sure how any of these ridiculous "fees" would have an effect on any child's education... I am not one to rely on hear say... I ALWAYS like to gain my own experience... Not everyone will give a great review... I know... I just wish I had read the reviews and had researched more before enrolling my grandson at TCA. Thankful we are only committed for Kindergarden, since we now know what TCA's goal/mission/priority, etc... is! Profit!!

My 4 yr old has been at this school since August of 2015. The academics are amazing, she is more advanced than other children in surrounding schools. She is spelling and writing her name. The teacher is great, always on top of things, keeps us informed and is there to address any concerns we have. I love that her class is multicultural and she is learning about all cultures.

Trinity Christian Academy in Deltona gets an A+ rating from me. I have Custody of 4 grandchildren the older 3 are attending school there. I have been so impressed with this school. No Bullying there. Where my grandson went to a public school for 2 years and would at times come home crying saying he had been bullied. When he started there in 3rd grade he would come home and tell me how nice his teacher is and how much he liked the school now it has been several months since he stated and he makes sure he tells me how much he likes this school and his teacher. He is now an Honor Roll student. He wants to do good because he feels good about him self do to the teachers here. The school and teachers do make a difference. I love the Uniforms because they all wear the same thing. No competition as far as clothes. . They can concentrate on what is most important learning.

This past year (kindergarten) went very well. I was very saddened that so many of the parents were completely uninvolved and expected the teachers to raise their children and I think that has become an issue in the older grades. Although I'm not surprised to hear that there is favoritism (as with any school really), I have not seen it in the teacher's children myself. I don't like that last year they pretty much celebrated Halloween, but it seems that it has at least been rectified and I would have had to dealt with it in public school a lot more. All in all so far we have had pretty good experiences here and hope to have a good one next year. On a side note, they have worked wonderfully with us who are attending through the Step Up For Students program. I know many people using this tuition aid and have heard no complaints that weren't rooted with the SUFS program itself.

This school has this big open house to collect reregistration fees from parents but if your child is not the right color or have a certain academic status the tell you they won't accept your child after they get their registration money. They don't even give your child the chance to get into the school its a money making scheme and is not Godly not is it right. Children should not be rejected due to race or intellectual abilities. A cash paying white child will have no problem getting in so you guys are probably the ones writing good reviews here.

My oldest has attended since elementary school and will graduate from the high school. We have been very pleased with the academics, extra curricular activities and expectations there. Honors classes, dual enrollment with Daytona State as well as a wonderful fine arts program highlight a wonderful alternative to the area schools. Teachers genuinely care for the students and the administration is always willing to listen to parental concerns. I would recommend this school to anyone who is currently looking to enroll their child in a school in Deltona.

Trinity was an amazing school that I will always be grateful for. The staff there genuinely care for the students and the presence of god that you will encounter there will change your life. As an alumni I will always be thankful to the administration and how they looked out for me and the chances I got to grow as a leader and even gain college credit. I graduated with a 4.6 having 90% of my general education courses done for college. There will always be nay Sayers to any great organization but please believe me when I say trinity is a safe environment where children can grow in god and be prepared for their future.

I must say I'm quite surprised and a little bit disturbed by the volume of negative reviews of TCA. I actually had to back track to make sure I was reading about the right school....smh. Both of my children have been attending the school since preschool and are currently still in elementary school. My experience has been really positive! The teachers and administrators have been very caring, accommodating, and professional and I have always been satisfied with their approach to any concerns I have had. Now I happen to be a full time homemaker which allows me the time to be vigilant about keeping an open line of communication with my kids' teachers. I think that teachers appreciate parents who are proactive and work with them to help yield the best possible learning outcomes; and as with anything else in life, I think that you get out what you put in and everything isn't for everybody. TCA (at least the elementary school) is helping me to provide a quality Christian education for my children and I would recommend this school to anyone without hesitation. As long as you have reasonable expectations and stay involved in your kids' educational journey.

Pre-K and kindergarten were the only great years. 1st grade a new teacher came on board and although she was very friendly, she was far too lenient and the kids ran the show. Second grade my daughter ended up with the extreme opposite, a teacher who acted like a drill sergeant and was rude to parents. I debated taking her out after that, but my daughter pleaded with me to just see how next year would be so she could be with her friends. Third grade her teacher was great and I thought I was finally seeing improvements. That was until I seen her Stanford scores. Due to financial reasons I was not able to get her report card or scores (they refuse to give them until your balance is $0) until the end of summer. By then I had already paid and signed her up for 4th grade, being I thought the prior year was such a success. She ended up scoring below average in math and spelling. Yet she was on honor roll every year with straight A's. Doesn't make sense, right? So I started to search reviews to see I wasn't the only one concerned and it seems other parents have noticed they are far behind academically also. I'm currently looking at other school options to get her out ASAP.

I have to say after listening to both of my children that attended Trinity and graduated from there I am disappointed and they are truly not prepared for the real world. They were in no way up to speed and prepared for college. The comments made here are true. We watched the school go from a caring environment to a money hungry business. Sports was something everyone participated in, students were valued. Now the school is about a sports program, importing student and giving away tuition to get who they want. Rules such as the dress code are not applied to everyone and family members of staff are so obviously favored it is ridiculous. Spend one night at an awards ceremony and you will see it. My children have been disciplined for situations when staff family members were given a free pass. This of course included the headmasters own daughter in her years there. As for cost's, yes every year they go up, "improvement fee's" are added and are mandatory. The leadership of the school definitely is arrogant and condescending. At one point in time Mr. Robinson had a sign on his office door that stated something to the point of "it bothers me that people do not salute me when they enter"
