Sad the way they staff schools in low poverty areas. You would never find schools with scores this low in areas where there are majority white children. AMERICA SUCKS!!! This school deserves zero stars. They simply don't care!

Terrible. Don’t bring your children here I’d you care about them. Staff is horrible, my child has learned bad influences from this school.

My child is a current student at Thorne. Since the principal, office staff and new teachers came to the school, it is indeed an awesome school. They have really turned things around for my daughter. She is now challenged. She is eager to go to school now. I love Thorne. We moved out of Inkster back to Detroit and I don't mind the long drive every morning and evening so she can be comfortable at school and eager to go

Im a student i used to go there that school has very bad children i learned very bad things at that school that i shouldnt have learned there or at the age i was. My rate was 1 for this school.

It is true that you shouldn't believe everything you read because most of these comments are inaccurate. My child attends Thorne & I am not impressed. Note the first comment posted on this site written by a 6th grade student ! No punctuation, spelling errors, etc. That is a prime example of the quality of a Thorne education ! I must admit that some teachers are good (ie: Mrs. Clark & Mrs. Brennan), but the principal Mrs. Simmons, secretary Ms. Liz as well as most of the teachers are incompetent. I wonder if some even have certification. It was my biggest mistake to put my child in this school.

my school thorne is a great place for student because it more active what i like about my school we have like a nice class room who have nice student who are helpful and we are welcomeing inkster children i know are school can improve on helping like how if parents have to work late we have a class for that or if u are like a slow learner u can stay in your class but if u ever feel uncomforable u can go to a teacher that can help u and this is why i think or i mean this is why i know we need this money to help our school love,diamond marie watson
