My experience with SDCS has been nothing but fantastic. My daughter needed additional support and the school was able to provide all services that they were capable of along with suggesting additional resources which I could use outside of school. As a parent, being communicative with the teachers and staff was a priority and I made every effort to do so which was then reciprocated with nothing but guidance and encouragement. Due to the significant academic gap, SDCS suggested she repeat a grade and I am so glad I did. Her confidence was not hindered yet strengthened and the gap closed. Putting my daughter before my own interest was the best thing I could have done. I fully trust SDCS with their academic plans along with instilling the Catholic Faith both in and outside of the classroom.

Just finished our first year in Saint David and we had a great experience. Our daughter loves her new school. We feel blessed to have our daughter attend here. Great community, teachers and students.

My child has been attending this school for 3 years and we have had the best education and teachers! The staff always makes us feelLike family. I’m very happy we toured this school and chose to send our child here.

It had been a dream for my girls to attend our Parish school. This is going to be our second year at Saint David Catholic School.  I have one daughter going into second grade and our youngest starting kindergarten. It is an excellent school with a high-quality education both academically and spiritually.I noticed my daughter was struggling with reading so I had a conference with her teacher. During the conference, her teacher expressed the same concerns I had and recommended we get her evaluated. It turns out she has dyslexia. The school worked with her and other struggling students in her class in a small group setting to give them the extra help they needed while at school. In addition, my husband and I put her in an after-school tutoring program that specializes in dyslexia. Anytime I wanted a conference or to speak with her teacher at Saint David it was never a problem and she would meet with me right away. As a new parent, I experienced an adjustment period of getting used to a new school, but patience is so essential to all parts of our lives. It is the ability to endure with positivity and purpose and to trust in God in all circumstances. And let me tell you. I am so very thankful I had patience and trust in God. I couldn’t be happier with our decision to attend Saint David and thank God often for all his guidance and love. We know Saint David is the place to be and where we are meant to be as a family. Saint David is a loving community and I could not recommend it enough.

I have the same feeling as one of the reviews below. Finally someone telling the truth about this school. The quality of teaching is severely lacking. Many teachers seem disinterested in their jobs and fail to provide adequate instruction or support to students. Moreover, the teachers do not treat all students equally. Some students are consistently given more opportunities and support, while others are left to struggle on their own. This inequality is unacceptable, especially in an educational setting that should promote fairness and inclusion. To make matters worse, the school administration has been dishonest with parents about their children's performance. They provide misleading information, which makes it difficult for parents to understand the true academic standing of their children and to take necessary actions.Overall, the combination of favoritism, poor teaching, unequal treatment, and dishonesty makes this school a poor choice for any family seeking a fair and supportive educational environment. I would strongly advise against enrolling your child here.

I have to praise the exceptional educational experience that my children have received at Saint David Catholic School over the past four years. The school has consistently demonstrated a commitment to providing a high level of education in a nurturing and family and faith oriented environment, which has significantly contributed to my children's intellectual, spiritual and personal growth. The dedication and professionalism of the teaching staff at Saint David Catholic School have been exemplary. They have not only imparted knowledge effectively but have also instilled in my children a strong set of values and a genuine enthusiasm for learning. The sense of community at the school has made my children feel supported and valued, creating a positive and enriching educational experience for them.I believe that the education and values instilled in my children at Saint David Catholic School have laid a strong foundation for their future success. It is without reservation that I recommend this institution to any parent seeking an exceptional educational environment for their children.

Saint David Catholic School has been wonderful for my family. My children have attended for three years, and my husband attended from Pre-K 3 through 8th grade 35 years ago. The school's small, family-oriented environment was a major draw for us.Before school began, an ambassador welcomed us via email, making us feel at home. We were thrilled to see other alumni with their children at SDCS. Principal Mrs. Chimienti’s daily involvement and open-door policy have made us feel heard and accepted. The teachers provide excellent education and instill strong Catholic values. Our 3-year-old recites daily prayers, and we trust the school completely. SDCS ensures safety with Davie Police officers from 6 am to 6 pm. Detailed academic evaluations and conferences keep us informed of our children's progress.Weekly newsletters and photos update us on events. The school works closely with the church, with priests present daily and weekly Mass attendance. SDCS celebrates diversity with an annual cultural event and offers various after-school activities like book clubs, drama, kindness clubs, and robotics. The curriculum coordinator, also our vice principal, ensures the best curriculum is used. All children and families are treated equally, reinforcing the inclusive atmosphere. Any issues with children have been handled appropriately, meeting my expectations as a parent. I have complete confidence in the education and care my children receive at SDCS.

I have never in my life felt more unwelcomed at a school. I applied with my twins who just moved to the USA (English is their 3rd language) and, I communicated this with both the principal and assistant principal only to be told that my children's foundation is lacking because of their low standardized test scores. I explicitly explained to them that the scores are not an accurate representation of their capabilities but ultimately I was told, after a 5 minute conversation with my son that he has some type of learning disability (mind you, my son was tested before and is perfectly fine) and my daughter who is a straight A student still doesn't meet the foundation requirements (that they themselves can't explain to me). I tried reasoning with them but it's as if they already knew they didn't want my kids there and they would have to go through a battery of tests, hoops and loops to even be considered. And it's sooo unfortunate because the environment reminded me so much of home but after this experience, I'm thinking I dodged a bullet.

Saint David has been an amazing school for my kids. They enjoy learning. They have made friends that will be friends for a lifetime. My kids have excelled and they continue to love their school. I cannot say enough praises about Saint David. It is also a great community for parents. The whole family is engaged. We are truly lucky to be part of Saint David Catholic School.

Best decision I ever made was to take my child out of public school and put them at Saint David. Not only has she excelled in a smaller classroom environment, but the teachers aren’t lazy, they don’t have to follow the HORRIBLE Broward curriculum, they get religion in school & everyone feels like family.

Just a wonderful school for academics and social adjustment. This school was recommended by a friend and I now have both of my children attending…I find the teachers are very attentive in a personal kind of way. Very pleased!

Bottom of the barrel- best thing I’ve ever done parenting wise was to REMOVE my child from this environment. I’ve known several others who followed after and they all feel same way. This school is the worst! I don’t understand why it’s still operational outside of them making money for the diocese.

You child will do well at St David and be afforded access to the few privileges that this private school can provide "IF" you work at the school, have political or celebrity status, have multiple children enrolled at the school or have the time and desire to shamefully kiss up to the school administration and teachers. If not your child will be treated as a second class citizen when it comes to academic, extracurricular, and other opportunities. So unless you are willing to find a way to become one of the favorites and aren't concerned with an inability to address bullies, you would be better off enrolling your child elsewhere. Year over year there is a decline in enrollment. The numbers don't lie, that is unless they are Facebook ratings from current and former teachers and their family members, or other favorites.

This school is really bad. It doesnt prepare you adequately for high school. I think I would have been better going public with advanced classes.

The student to teacher ratio is excellent. The teachers are great and don't seem like they're there just for the paycheck but are truly interested in helping the kids learn. I can't say that we've had a bad experience. Our kids have been enrolled for going into their 5th year.

I highly recommend this school. My children have attended St. David Catholic School from Pre-K3 through the 8th grade. It is a great place to be for both students and parents alike. The faculty and staff are warm, welcoming and enthusiastic, which provides a great environment for learning. Upon graduating from St. David Catholic School, my children were ready for the next chapter.....catholic high school. They are well rounded academically, spiritually and socially. I cannot thank them enough for the gift of a great education. Great job St. David!

I do not recommend this school, especially for PreK3. The school does not have protocols in place for adequate positive reinforcement for 3 and 4 year old children and implemented as the year progressed at the request of this parent. The parent asked for the siblings to be separated at first conference, but the school refused. I feel horrible for leaving my children there longer then I should have and I recommend if your child begins to have problems at St. David's Catholic School in Davie, Florida to remove them immediately to prevent your child and yourself for enduring the stress that the school will put upon you.

I do not recommend this school, especially for children with difficulties. The teachers and administrative staff behaved unprofessional and made myself and my children feel unwelcome. The school refused to separate twins who were having difficulties in same pk3 class. The teacher's aid appeared incompetent and was unable to handle pk3 behaviors and challenges. During a conference, the teacher's aid sounded like a true amateur (i.e., how do you handle them at home? I feel bad for you.). I understand the "aid" is a helper, but she probably should not be included in conferences and reprimanded for her unprofessionalism. The administrative staff and some of the other teachers (not all of them as there are some good teachers on staff) spoke unprofessionally to the older sibling (i.e., called her sisters' devils and they expressed feeling bad for her). I have been in Broward county my entire life and have never experienced such unprofessionalism within a school environment. I really wonder how parents with children who have special needs attend this school, please save yourself the stress and go elsewhere.

I have no regret what so ever, my daughter is been in St. David since Kindergarten and now she is in 8th grade all ready for High School. Nothing is perfect is this world and yes, there might be some things they should change like hiring younger teachers. But over roll is an excellent school, the discipline they impart to the kids is amazing and communication with teachers is great.

Avoid this school. I took my son out last year and wished i had done it much earlier. My spouse and i kept him at this school for five years hoping things would get better but they didn't. Specifically the teachers didn't get any better. Especially in the lower grades (pre-k 3) for example, but other grades too you will find teachers who are cold and distant towards children and parents. This comes across during parent/teacher conferences, one on one meetings, complaints from my son, and other children as well as other parents. I know complaints have been filed by many and i've heard some of these "experienced" teachers wete going to have their employment terminated but it hasn't happened.Hence,my our decision to remove our child. If the principal wants student enrollmentvto rise
