No transparency in everything. Very fishy process of application and admittance.

My husband and I researched several faith-based schools in the area, and our 2 children were accepted to each one that we applied to. We chose Parkway Christian school because of the amazing, caring, diverse staff at both the church and the school. Our children are THRIVING academically and spiritually--our only regret is not choosing Parkway sooner!!

I love Parkway! Both of my kids are in the school, one elementary and one preschool. It is such a welcoming group with a high priority on not just academics but whole child development. This is where you go when you want your kids to know how to do life better and be good at relationships not just be drilled with intensity and pressure on being the smartest.

I have 2 boys. And before I decided to enroll them in any school, I did alot of research and countless tours. When I toured Parkway Christian Schools, I just knew that this was the place for us. Its been 7 years now, and I have no regrets. My boys are happy, thriving, safe and they feel loved. I would highly recommend this school!!

Teaching is ok, staff is extremely judgmental, nosy and very strict. Staff loves to gossip about kids and families, then call their school a “loving environment.” Teachers don’t care when racism occurs in class.

Staff acts as if we are are in North Korea and they are the dictators, they bully kids.

If you aren’t a part of the VPK program and are not gifted in someway they will reject you for kindergarten. Their evaluation takes place away from the parents and they do not give the evaluation information. Basically an interview with your kid and then a rejection based on whatever their values are. I am just glad my child was not excepted. They used his speech as an excuse when I know it’s more than that. Move on and think of another option.

I am in love with the school. My kids love going to school, they are always happy when I pick them up. The teachers are loving and caring. The tight community of parents and educators makes it feel like a very special place. They provide a lot of resources for kids to learn and optional additional work, which I love.Very happy with the school.

This is a great school and the staff is friendly and professional. We liked the school but our daughter just did not click with it. She developed anxiety and her hands would be clammy and cold every morning at drop off. She would cry every day and was just not happy there. Her teacher and the director and Ms Lucas were wonderful, loving and patient with her. We ultimately decided to switch her and she is now happy at the assigned school for us. Sometimes the school is great and parents might be happy but it may not be a match for the kid and I am glad we listened to our child's way of telling us this school was not a good fit for her. Parkway understood and made the transition easy and smooth. We appreciate that very much and wish nothing but the best for this school and the staff.

A+, The church and the school interact beautifully, and we could not be happier with our choice in a faith based education

We have been a member of the Parkway Family for many years. Our oldest graduated from Parkway to Archbishop McCarthy high school. She is in the honors program and is successful in all the endeavors she encounters. I am pleased with how Parkway has prepared her for what comes next. We see the same results with our seventh grade son. We know he is heading for the same success.

We are very pleased with our decision to have our daughter attend Parkway. The teachers and administrative staff are fantastic. They are truly committed to education and encourage high academic standards. A special mention must be made for her Math teacher Mrs. Linne. What a fantastic and thorough teaching methodology implemented! She is truly dedicated, compassionate and encourages children in a positive manner to learn. Other special mentions include Mrs. Koski, Mrs. Lucas and Ms. Garcia. As administrators they are truly committed to their students and guide them effectively on a consistent basis. Looking forward to another year at Parkway!!!

I am not only a parent, but a public school teacher and I made the decision to put my five year old at Parkway. I don't like how common core is being implemented and I don't like the enormous amount of testing that is happening in Florida. Putting my baby at Parkway has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. She leaves school everyday happy. That to me is priceless. The curriculum is rigorous and well balanced. It is December and my daughter can read!!! The faculty and staff is caring and loving. They all know her by name, even Mrs.Donna, who works in the cafeteria looks out for her well being. I know that my daughter will walk out of Kindergarten with a firm foundation in general academics as well as music, science, technology and morals. The schools is affordable compared to other schools I looked at. They are not always asking for money, like some other schools. The money that is given you can see goes directly to the school. I would love to see this school become at high school at some point. I believe that the combination of academics and morals taught, not just in class, but exhibited by the faculty will help mold my daughter into the lady I know she will be.

I had attended this school from 7th and 8th grade and let me tell you that the staff was anything BUT welcoming. if you haven't been going there since you were younger, forget about being treated as equal as the other kids at that school. the punishments that I would receive were quite radical compared to other students in the school who had committed the same crime. the staff treats it's students like "family", but I don't know how good that can be. they were always in my business and wouldn't leave me alone as if they personally knew me, I didn't feel comfortable with the administrator asking me about my "love life" as if she was my aunt or something. the point of the matter is, is that everything is taken to the extreme at this school, the staff (not including some of the teachers) can favorite kids and it's noticeable and brings the child down, heck, I would know. oh, and if your child is a little different and has their own sense of style, don't bother sending them here unless you want your kid to be antagonized for being original.

My children have attended Parkway since 2007. My older daughter has since graduated from Parkway and was accepted at Archbishop McCarthy High School, where she is a senior now. My younger daughter is in middle school. We love the small class sizes and fantastic learning environment. They have expanded their technology use by allowing the students to use Ipads and Kindles for books, notes, research, which is great as they can access their school books as ebooks and not have to carry huge, heavy backpacks. The staff is amazing and very responsive to any questions or concerns at any time. We searched many schools before we made our decision and would highly recommend Parkway from Preschool all the way to 8th grade.

To reply to the May 24, 2013 post. I guess when the school had their little "Open House", twenty two people logged n and rated the school on this site? What did they hand out the website address to everybody? The administration played favorites while my children were there and I'll bet they still do. The "Do as I say not as I do" philosophy has no place in a Christian environment. The school is supposed to be non-denominational but leans in a very specific direction. I want my children to know they should treat everyone how they want to be treated at all times, not just when they feel like it or it benefits them. What good is an open door policy when they don't really listen to you or do what they want regardless of what you've said. The school is average for academics but not what we were expecting for spiritual education.

This school has been nothing but dedicated to the success of its students. The staff goes above and beyond in all that they do. The mission of the school is sound and delivered. The staff follows through on their commitments to the families. Way to go!

This post is to address the one posted on March 27, 2013. The school held a school wide event (preschool, elementary and middle school on February 14, 2013 where students and parents had the option to express their love and appreciation for the school or visit with Adminstrators on the spot to express concerns. Not one person had anything negative to say and the support for the school was strong. The staff has always had an open doir policy and continues to improve the program while inviting parents and students to be a part of the process.

22 five star reviews all on February 14, 2013. the next newest is January 2013 and then March 2012. It appears that someone is padding the stats to falsely increase the community ratings of the school. That should speak volumes about this school. My children have been gone from Parkway and have realized just how bad the issues were/are.
