After seven years of my child's attendance, I've noticed a consistent decline in the school's overall quality. My primary concern lies with the teaching methodology employed by many instructors, which often feels outdated and fails to effectively engage students. As a result, students frequently struggle to connect with the material, hindering their academic progress and overall satisfaction with their education.

Ihave had an excellent 1 st year. My child will begin his second yeat in the fall. He is eligible for a MCKay scholarship and we can afford to send him to any private school but I don’t want him anywhere else.

It's a good school on paper and as far as test scores go. I feel like my children are receiving a good education. We're not thrilled with the teachers our children got this year. One simply doesn't respond to communication (voicemails, emails, etc.). The other seems incredibly disorganized, if not erratic. Sometimes even when spoken to in person we just get a blank stare in return. The car loop is chaos every single morning, regardless of time. I live 3 minutes away and need to leave 30 minutes before school starts to get them there on time. Parents are rude, aggressive and at least once a week someone is in such a hurry, they almost hits people in the crosswalk. I've asked the school if anything can be done and the only response is "leave earlier." If nothing changes, eventually someone WILL get hurt.

Great experience. Breath of fresh air having a male teacher added to the staff this year. There really should be more men in elementary education. Mr. Wells has been a total blessing to our daughter; she loves him and so do we. He's an even mixture of firm and fair. He's boosted her confidence and taught her a great deal about being a leader. It helps that he's so good in math and still young-ish enough to play on the playground with his students. Fun, tech savvy, nurturing, and patient beyond belief. He's an added bonus to an already great experience at Fox Trail.

Both of my children attend Fox Trail. I must say the teachers we have been blessed to have over the years such as Mrs. Dinally, Mrs. Juranek, Mrs. LaBon, Mrs. Silva, and Mrs. Stransky have been heaven-sent. Mrs. Roberts has taken over while Mrs. Silva is out and she is amazing! A true angel on earth. She has gone above and beyond to help my son and many other students with math tutoring after school. The guidance counselor Mrs. Schzima (sorry if I butchered your name!) is the sweetest and genuinely cares about children and families. The principal Mrs.Burgess is caring and very involved. I would've given FIVE stars BUT the front office staff is just awful and down right nasty! They are very rude, unapproachable, and condescending. A re-vamp of the whole front office is desperately needed. Also, the drop-off is very hectic and takes 30-45 min to get in and out. A possible solution would be to allow the back gate to remain open until 8 am so parents can have an alternate route leading to a better flow in the morning.

Great academic standards. Teachers actually care that their students learn and not just pass by the school. Learning is priority!

I've had a good experience. Academically my kid is doing great! I have to say I get intimidated by the school's front office people. Their demeanor isn't friendly. I'm surprised this can fly when first impressions matter most. I'd say "add a smile", and parents will feel welcomed. The principal seems to care very much.

Greatest school in the area. Very smart & safe location next to police and fire station. PTA makes you feel welcomed. Wonderful teachers.

Great school, we did K thru 2nd grade... but too many kids, very rude office staff (be prepared) horrible car congestion at both drop off and pickup, good stuff too... lots of parental involvement, good principle, security like Fort Knox,

Fox Trail is absolutely amazing. We moved into the area a year ago and my husband and I, both having been employed in the administrative aspect of education, were a bit concerned as the school was so large. However, we have been more than impressed. Ms. Burgess, the principal, runs the school impeccably. The teachers are top notch and the atmosphere is that of a family. My friends in other states and counties, even those that home school, are absolutely amazed at how much my son has learned (thank you Ms. P and Ms. Stransky) I would recommend this school to anyone ... It is a true gem!

My kids have been attending Fox Trail since kindergarten and my daughter is now in 5th Grade with my son in second year of middle school. The school encourages parent participation, the Principal is second to none, the teachers and Staff are awesome.I can't imagine a better school forms kids to obtain their elementary education!

The teachers are great but the office staff is horrible. They are mean. cold, condescending, and just plain rude! They do nothing to help parents or students. Hire a new staff and this school will be great!

I have 3 children in this school (grades 2,3, and 5). Over all, the teachers are caring and willing to help. There are a few stand out teachers, that go above and beyond your expectations. The parking is an issue, as well as the pick up/drop off line. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the front office staff are cold, there might be one person in there that ever cracks a smile. They are less than enthused to see anyone walk in and ask for anything. They do their job (most of the time) and nothing more. If you have a conference, forget getting there on time. They REFUSE to open that door until exactly 7:30, and sometimes later, even when they know there is a line of parents a mile long needing to get to a conference. If they fixed the front office, the school would get 5 stars no doubt.

The best elementary school in Broward County. My son just left to attend middle school and I have 2 other children attending...one in 5th (Mrs Labon) and the other in 1st (Mrs Borenstein)..I personally wrote the school board requesting to have her placed there and we could not be happier.....throughout the years I have had the pleasure of having a child in Mrs Miller, Ms DePass, Mr Ferrara, Mrs Berkameyer, Ms Leung, Ms Ruyan and Mrs Fraser's classes and I could not be more pleased with my child's progress. The August post here which commented on the student's profanities (that has to do with the kids upbringing at home). I assure you if any of the administrative staff had heard that, the kid would have been in the Principal's office you find a child like that in every school. Since inception, Fox Trail has an A school. Long live Fox Trail!!!

Excellent school in all means. My son is in 5th grade now and is being at Fox Trail since kindergarten, he loves each of his teachers through the years, wonderful staff, great parent community and a challanging and appropiate curriculum. Just love it!

I certainly dont know what the teachers teach there but I hope they arent careless! When I first walked into the front office a student was talking major profanities! And such words made me drop my mouth wide open! Also the front office staff is quite cold and impatient. I felt really uncomfortable just being there.

Fox Trail is an excellent school. I have two children that attended there, and one that is currently attending. The teacher's are excellent and very fair in meeting each child's needs. It is a great and positive environment.
