My son has ADHD and he was struggling in public school. We enrolled him in AEF two years ago and now he is thriving. All the teachers care and have the experience teaching children who learn in a different way. Their no homework policy is the best for children like mine. No more struggles or fights with him to finish his homework. He is happier and more confident since he joined AEF.

I enrolled my son 2017-2018 school year because I was concerned that he wasn’t getting the education he deserved at public school. Public school burdened us with homework, overcrowding classrooms and way too much standardized testing. Thankfully, I found AEF. AEF not only focuses on book work. They focus on social skills, emotional skills and life skills. They have core values that support family. With public school we had hours of homework and that would leave my son discouraged, tired and frustrated. The curriculum at AEF is tailored for the child because every child is different. The communication between teachers and parents is amazing. They keep you informed and have great relationships with the students. Therefore, the students are very reapectful(you have to see it to believe it). They follow directives the first time given. All of the teachers/administrative staff care about the students. AEF has very small classrooms, they offer healthy ORGANIC lunches and have the best extracurricular programs/fundraisers. I was so happy with my son’s increased confidence and academic progress, that I decided to withdraw my daughter’s from public school and enroll them at AEF. They love it!!!! I will say they have zero tolerance for bullying, disrespectful and possibly aggressive students. Therefore, they are very selective in what students they accept. Considering the state of public schools across the nation, you can’t blame them. They take school safety very serious. I know this is a long review but I am extremely grateful for the environment. My son had very low self esteem when at public school. The teachers didn’t care and only worried about testing. He was getting lost. He couldn’t do his homework alone and he would cry when I had to take him to public school. Upon enrolling him at AEF in a few months I noticed his confidence increasing and he was able to work independently. His handwriting greatly improved and so did his focus. He even likes to read books now lol! Anyway, I would strongly recommend AEF if you have been considering it. Small class sizes, quality curriculum, safe environment, organic lunches, loving staff and respectful students.

Your AEF is a WONDERFUL school, always willing to help your child. Our son has done two summer camps and is in his second year in AEF. He has come out of his shell, and loves school. Class sizes are small and teachers can focus on each child needs so they can reach their potential. AEF works on all aspects of learning which includes social and life skills. Saying all that I myself only concern is that academics seem not to always be on top of the list. Rewards are given which are primarily appears are for behavior which is great if you have behavior issue but in my case we need more focus on academics. Parent J.Puricelli

AEF An alternative education school that promotes the difference. The acronym does not at first sight suggest its definition, nor does it reflect the school's mission. AEF is not even the traditional "village" often expected by parents. It takes time to understand and evaluate what makes AEF different than other institutions of its kind. One can only profile the answer in the subtle result that appeases parents' anxiety and shapes pupils' aspirations. AEF's dedicated teaching and support staff has been able to rebuild the "village" no longer found in too many circles. Let's not allow that difference to remain a secret. A better society can flourish from the AEF's experience.

AEF is the best thing that has happened for my children. The school gets it. They REALLY know how to teach them with their learning challenges. Their approach is realistic and prepares children for real life. Both of my children have excelled since starting AEF. Thank you so much, you saved my sanity!

My school is AEF in Davie. I now sending my children for their 2nd year. It has been a great experience for my children. The teachers know how to encourage children to learn new things. My child now wants to go to school and loves to learn. Before my daughter just went to school and they didn't know how to teach math in a way she could learn. Now she will try to do math assignments by herself without her crying and saying I don't understand the assignments because the teacher will sit down with her one on one to explain an assignment she doesn't understand but in regular school she would watch the teacher explain the assignment to the whole class and be very confused. There was never any one on one teaching. She can even have extra help in middle school one a week afterschool being tutored by the teacher to help them understand an assignment they don't understand well.

My son has been attending AEF Schools for 4 years and couldnt be happier. We tried everything from public schools, military schools and even church schools. AEF was the perfect match! They have small classrooms so that all of the students get involved in the lesson. They take a hands on approach of learning that has worked for my son. He now gets A's, helps out when asked and has a ton of friends. AEF is an awesome school!!!

Individualized education plan and behavioral, emotional, and social support and intervention this school truly addresses every aspect of your child's development and educates the whole person not just academics. Every staff member is knowledgeable, understanding and empathetic and they support the whole family while staying focused on the child. So many opportunities have been opened for my child by this school, their staff and their philosophy. Cannot thank them enough!

I am pleased with the progress my daughter is making at AEF. The small class setting provides her with more individualized attention than she received in the public school setting. AEF allows her to progress at her own pace rather than forcing her to learn what she is not ready for. She is already showing progress with her academics which results in a higher self-esteem and better behavior.

The school is a great alternative to public and most private schools if your child is not doing well. They focus on regular academics but also teach organization and social skills. My nephew loves school for the first time ever and has friends.

If you are a parent there now, please be aware the survey you do during conference can be used against you if you rate them with high marks and you are not satisfied at the end. This school is mainly for behavioral children.
