We have a kindergartner at this school and we couldn’t be happier! The school communicates with me regularly and my child loves school. I know exactly what is going on at school and how my child is doing. I even got a positive phone call from the principal about something kind my child had done for another. I would recommend.

Bullying is a big problem at this school. They don't have enough supervision during recess, lots of places where students are not monitored, lots of bullying takes place. It comes as a shocker to me that such young students are violent and that they are not disciplined. It's not safe for other students. School doesn't take care of the problem. First, they blame the student for not informing them immediately. Then when the student informs them immediately, they literally do nothing: the bullies said they didn't bully the student, so we can't do anything about it. What's worse is that they don't even inform the parent that their student is being bullied or attacked at school. Our child was making pleas to his teacher for help and they didn't do anything! They didn't even inform us! So incidents occurred that we were not even made aware of, like our child being punched, pushed, and humiliated on the daily basis. It's absurd. They are tough on sugar and soft on bullies. It's just so sad to see young children who are so excited about going to school and learning be afraid to go to school. These years are very important for child development and serious mental health problems and self-perception issues can occur if this bullying is allowed to go on. They need to develop a better approach to handling bullying and protecting students so they can focus on learning and not on getting beaten up or humiliated.

We recently moved to SBA because the private school my child was at was not able to meet his special needs. From day 1 we felt welcome and part of the school from the SBA team reaching out right after enrollment to set a meeting to talk how to best support my son to the back to school event with smiles and freebies. The teacher uses dojo share information and keep me informed. The principal share info with families so we know what is going on. Many events such as pta meetings and family cafes. So glad we ended up at SBA!

The school year just ended and my daughter already wants to return! SBA staff went above and beyond this year to help students returning from Zoom school to feel safe and happy. Communication from the principal and teachers is excellent. My child’s teacher would always respond to my messages and my daughter loved her teacher. The principal, Ms. Hannan, knows all of the students names and greets them warmly every morning to welcome them to school. I would highly recommend SBA to any parent.

Very rude male teachers; Very rude Principal. One of the Kindy teachers had the audacity to say to me: 'The only reason you're here, is because no one else was available.' I had never before met this person. I reported him to the Principal; He chose not to respond. Absolutely revolting.

This school has been great for my children. Mr. Rohrbach was awesome, my child wasn’t eating his lunch and he noticed and let me know. Out of all the kids that are there, he made sure to let me know and that shows a lot. He always greets us when we’re leaving and when we arrive. As for the teachers, every single teacher my children have had have been great.

The posters comments are not reflective of the school. Please realize when you are reading comments on these types of websites that the negative reviews tend to be from people who can bully from behind a computer screen. This school and its staff goes above and beyond for every student at the school even with the hurt the staff has when they read reviews like these posted. Thank you to the staff and students from SBA for making SBA great.

This school is horrible, the worst part is that the super intendent Bernardo Vidales is aware and does nothing but alert the principal of the parents that take their concerns to him.

Horrible, we have been here only one year and can't wait for it to be over, when going to jfk to enroll my little one I was asked by school personnel if the reason was they were treating the students at susan b anthony unfairly and with no respect, I was shocked that even they know about this already. At Susan B Anthony the secretary Mrs Ledda is also a horrible person.

This school is wonderful! the learning environment is essentially the foundation of success as well as the quality of the teachers which sba knows all a bout..the school is in a great neighborhood and it is very clean. My two boys are in the 4th and 1st grade and they love it here.the only down side is they don't have transitional pre k classes which is inconvenient for my 3rd little fella who won't get to go to school with his big brothers.overall I'm highly satisfied with the educational drive shown by sba!
