I was a frequent substitute teacher there during the 2020-2021 school year. The administration and teachers were awesome. I loved most of the kids in grades 1-4. I particularly enjoyed the bilingual students. I think that this school is committed to excellence. I also was impressed by how careful they were to keep students healthy during the COVID epidemic. They were the only school I subbed at that had silent lunches so students would not transfer the coronavirus while eating with their masks off. They temperature checked the students at the entryway to the school and school breakfasts were served in the cafeteria and not in the classroom. I felt safe there for weeks. They obviously cared a lot about their students to be taking these kinds of precautions, which were not mandated by the district.

Used to be good, but now it's terrible. I'm looking forward to sending my child somewhere else. Think twice before sending your child -- esp. one with any mental health issues -- here. Richardson ISD ought to be ashamed.

Great! I think this school is very child oriented and strives for student success rate to be 100%. The school atmosphere is welcoming and caring. The staff is friendly & very positive.

This is one of the most diverse schools in Richardson. Students come from all nationalities. The experience for students is amazing. Teachers are experts at working with students from other countries and our Skyview students love coming to school each day!

Skyview is our neighborhood elementary and it has the hardest working staff and administration I've experienced in any school. The teachers go out of their way to make accurate assessments of student progress and are able to adapt to a wide range of learning styles and abilities. I have a son with special needs and Skyview has one of the best programs in the district. They are compassionate, but they also push him to stay just outside his comfort zone and, as a result, he has grown steadily under their care. I can't say enough about the time, attention, and love that the teachers and administration at Skyview have lavished on our family. They are the best.

We moved to the neighborhood in large part because of Skyview - the house we bought is one block away. We have constantly been impressed by the teachers, staff and administration and we are greatly looking forward to sending our now 4-year-old to Skyview next year. He too is very excited about it, and we can't wait for him to make new friends next year. The school just tested above standard this past year and even received distinctions in post secondary school readiness, so we are confident in the education he will receive, and the diversity is a real plus for us - he will learn so much about other cultures! We're proud to be strong Skyview neighbors, and we're proud of our school.

We live in the neighborhood, and our daughter has attended Skyview since kindergarten (she's now in 5th grade). We feel like Skyview is a hidden gem! The school boasts excellent, caring teachers and strong, stable leadership. We feel very fortunate that our child has been able to grow up at Skyview Elementary.

Our family moved to the neighborhood in 2010. We have 2 boys in Skyview. One in the special education program. The teachers and staff are great, and they have supported our family from day 1. The school is extremely diverse and has allowed our children to learn so much about other cultures, languages, and life experience. It is truly our pleasure to be attending Skyview and we look forward to many years to come.

I've lived in the neighborhood since 2009 and my children attend Skyview. I have one child in Skyview's gifted and talented program and another in their special education and resource program. The teachers have all been excellent and the leadership of the current Principal, Ingrid Dodd, is exemplary. The diversity at this school IS its strength. We have had a great primary education experience at Skyview.

SkyView is doing an excellent job. My wife is an educator and when we toured the school we were very impressed by the well organized operations, teacher engagement, and community involvement. They even have a PTA developed community vegetable garden!

My husband and I toured the school and we were impressed with the dedicated staff. As an educator, I could tell that the school is dedicated to excellence in many ways. As a community member, I see the good work of the PTA and support the school's efforts.

Skyview is a wonderful elementary school! We moved into the neighborhood in December 2012 at the beginning of what has been a great transition period with a bunch of young families moving in as older families with children no longer in the home move away. There is a child in every other house on our street! It's a great community to move into with a great school, wonderful teachers and staff and a very much dedicated PTA. There are exciting things going on at Skyview including a future learning and music garden so students can have multiple opportunities to learn about science, math, the environment and eating healthy. The PTA website is www.skyviewpta.org and I found useful (and up-to-date) information there.

It's a great school with awesome teachers and staff. My kids are doing wonderfully. They are given a lot of personalized attention, and they are challenged according to their ability. As previous reviews stated, there are very few neighborhood kids that attend this school, which I think is a shame.
