Amazing PTA- always working for our kids! The teachers are quick to communicate, expectations are clear and I love the weekly newsletters! My son is thriving there!

This school is very poorly ran to say the very least. Nothing at this school is done with students best interest as the priority. Teachers prioritize what is most convenient for them due to the overwhelming majority of the students going home to educated financially stable parents who carry the burden of ineffective teaching strategies. We learned during the pandemic that learning on the computer is ineffective and doesn’t work yet this school pushes computer learning/work. Why? Lazy teachers. What’s convenient for adults is not what’s best for kids. If I were as bad at my job as some of the staff at this school I would do my employer and profession a favor and quit.

My son has been a student of Pucketts Mill for 2 years and both his first grade teacher (Ms. Warren) and his current teacher ( Ms. Fladger)Has gone above and beyond to help my child and stay connected with me concerning his grades and strong/ weak points! I am thankful my child is attending Pucketts Mill Elementary!Beth Porter

If I could give a higher rating I would. I have never felt more welcomed from a school. Moving into a new school, in a new area, the welcome has really been refreshing as I drop my children off to your care every morning. Their smiling faces as I pick them up is a constant reassurance that I did the best thing by switching schools!

Best school with the best teachers, admin and staff. The teachers and all staff care about the students and go above and beyond!

There does not feel like there is enough concern about individual students. All students, including the ones who are academically struggling and the ones who are academically ahead should have their needs addressed. In addition, there are way too many overbearing parents trying to influence school decisions. You see it with school events and even in the individual classrooms.

I have been a parent of a PMES student for the last 8 years. PMES is an amazing school with caring staff and administration. The whole PMES community is supportive and truly takes the time to invest in our children.

We LOVE PMES & are so glad we bought a house on this school district!

My youngest is finishing her 5th grade year at PMES, having spent all her elementary years there. While not perfect, I've been very impressed with the commitment of teachers and staff over the years. Walk through the hallways, you see the creativity of students and teachers around you with many different approaches to learning. The project based learning embraced by PMES captures the imagination & excitement of the kids which is great to see. I felt I was heard as well as helped by admin when I did have issues which I certainly appreciated.

We moved into Puckett's Mill 4 years ago and have 2 kids at the school. The teachers, administration, staff, and PTA are incredible. Our son has had extra help before school with reading and writing and during school with his study habits. These needs where both identified and a resolution was presented by teachers and administration working together. We did a tremendous amount of research when moving to the area on the schools and found that Puckett's has proved to be the top elementary school n the area. It has been an incredible experience for our family.

I've had at least one child at Puckett's Mill Elementary for 8 years now and have volunteered at the school a lot over those years. This is a great school. It's obvious that the teachers and administration care about how much progress each child makes, and there are a variety of different learning programs that can help each child make as much progress as possible. As my older kids have moved on to middle school, they have been well prepared. No school is perfect, but I'm very pleased that we bought a home in this district so that our kids could attend PMES.

The school used to be run very well by administration and the teachers seemed very knowledgable. That has not been the case the past several years. In fact, two years ago (14-15 school year) my child had a 3rd grade teacher who had teaching experience but was new to teaching at this school and it was a very difficult year. On numerous occasions throughout the year the teacher was asked questions by both students and parents and she could not answer them. It was unbelievable that a teacher would be grading students on things that she could not fully explain. Administration was of no help and just provided excuses. In addition, the staff turnover at the school just continues to cause problems for the school. Wonder what the upcoming year holds?

Puckett's Mill Elem School has a very friendly and professional front office staff. Strong administration and leadership. Beautiful, safe school for students and staff to grow!

My school is Puckett's Mill Elementary. I have problems with administration more than teachers. The teachers do their best but are limited due to administration only care about the test scores and the school being the best than the rest. Which use to be the school motto and is still the concept of some of the administration. Children all work at different levels. If your child does not meet up to their standards they try to send your child to other schools. It is sad when educators and administration care about their scores as a school more than the children.

Our experiences each year at PMES have always gone directly back to the teacher. While we have had mostly excellent teachers, we've had a not-so-good teacher or two as well. I wish the administrators would have a better understanding of "great teachers make great schools" and do more to recognize the excellence of some teachers while doing something to improve the bad ones.

The last review sounds like it was written by a member of the staff. The school has changed a lot since it started. Yes there are some good teachers but there are also a lot of bad ones who don't seem to care. It seems that my daughter learned nothing at all this year.

My daughter has attended PMES since it opened, she's always been challenged and with her natural drive wants to attain more and more at the encouragement of all of her teachers. I will be sad that we leave for middle school but at the same time I know she will do fine because of this school and the teachers - she is very well prepared!

This school is a good example of what government can do to something worthwhile. The administration runs the school with little regard for the children. Teachers who were once outstanding seem to hide in the background as to not gain attention. Ambitious teachers seek to please the administrators at the expense of the children, and mediocre teachers may result to the bullying of students, possibly due to their frustrations. Even teachers in this school district quietly speak about how the system has deteriorated and feel helpless to make a difference. Material that was taught in third grade a few years ago will often not show up until fourth or fifth. And the material is completely skewed to what is currently politicly correct. Teachers spend a great deal of time in their classrooms teaching their students with videos. Or children can watch videos from home on various websites. If parents were to watch the videos for themselves or if they had any idea of what the curriculum was only a year ago, I would highly doubt that any of them would give this school a higher rating than I did.
