We are so happy to be in the Forsyth County school system and can't say enough about this school. We were at a private school before sending them to this public school and can say that our kids get more attention. Technology, gifted programs, teacher to student ratio, it's good.

We have an only child who could be quiet and at times lacked confidence with other students but the environment at Cumming Elementary is fundamentally and socially sound for students of all ages and capabilities. Beyond the occasional teacher who doesn’t know when to teach as opposed to using “rigor” as an excuse for not actually teaching (I hear all schools have this issue) we found this school to be excellent. The school is safe and staff are (mostly) engaged. I’m utterly shocked to see it with anything less than 8 out of town. My score would be 9 out of 10.

We have been at Cumming for 4 years. This school has some of the most supportive staff and administration I have ever seen. The school fosters parent involvement and also provides the tools necessary for your child to succeed. I cannot say enough good things about this school.

Both of my children have attended Cumming Elementary since Kindergarten. My oldest is at Otwell and my youngest is in 5th grade at Cumming. We have had a wonderful experience the entire time and have loved each and every one of the teachers at Cumming. My children have been successful and have thrived in the Cumming Elementary environment. Wouldn't have them attend any other school! We are moving soon but are adamant about staying in the Cumming/Otwell/Central cluster. Don't understand some of the previous reviews. We've experienced none of this!

Love this School! The teachers are great. The school also communicates with parents very well.Lots of really good programs. My children just love to attend this school, learn and have fun.

Good teachers and administration but there is a SERIOUS SHIFT HAPPENING HERE THAT IS GOING TO MOUNT IN THE COMING YEARS. The culture isn't varied at this school. This school is minority dominated. Overcoming ESL students has cost this school science and social studies scores. And those are just measurable education factors. How else are we failing these citizens? Spanish teachers should teach hispanic students allowing for greater comprehension yet at the same time push American culture immersion. Children with English as a second language should be in a school setting that is respectful yet focused. "Corralling" Hispanics in a county to specific schools does the community and students a HUGE DISSERVICE!!!! EDUCATION FAILURE---- Unsure how to solve, but there are so many teachers with Ph.Ds and Masters in Education better able to resolve... I challenge you to fix this!

Avoid this school. They will tell you Title 1 is a good thing....it is not. Teachers are trained differently. ..IT IS NOT GOOD! If you value your children do not attend this school.

This is our first year at CES and we have had a great experience. Our son is a 1st grader and we are very pleased with his teacher. He has excelled!

This is our second year at CES and we LOVE it! The teachers and staff are completely committed to doing their best for their students. The administrators are extremely supportive and, I think, it helps motivate the teachers to rise above expectations. It has been a great experience for us.
