My family and I are moving to Georgia after this school year . We will miss this school very much ! It will be hard to beat . I have enjoyed my time there as a parent of a third grader .

Pleasant Hill Elementary is proud to announce that it has received an "A" from the Indiana Department of Education based on the 2013 Spring ISTEP scores and student academic growth measures! Students, parents and teachers have worked very hard to achieve this top rating. Our Parent Advisory council is active and planning several positive and fun activities for parents this spring. This is currently a "D" rated school by the Indiana Department of Education and this last school year (2011-2012) the test scores were even worse. I hope that Pleasant Hill gets put on probation so there will be some positive changes done! The principal (in 2011-2012) will spin the truth to make herself look better. The principal dissolved the PTO so she could control everything. What kind of a school doesn't have a PTO/PTA? They put students in a closet for lunch/recess detention, hours at a time and even all day! Yes, a closet, with no windows and they close the door!! At this school there are teachers who are very sarcastic to their students, yell at them, talk down to them, and ultimately should not be in education. I will say they do have an outstanding pre-school program that most schools are not able to have. The kindergarten teachers are great but after that it's all downhill! The secretary is also wonderful. Just don't expect much else from this school. My son attended here and I am pleased to say, he will no longer have to as he is going to the middle school =) Send your children to Sugar Creek if you are in the North Montgomery School Corporation or to South Mont!
