My grandson went here for 4th and part of 5th before moving. The Principal is hands down one of the most involved Principals I've ever encountered, even of those for my kids years before. She's caring and seems to know all of the students by heart. The teachers were caring and kind. You know the assignments and what is expected but also you are informed of what is actually going on. We were a little concerned about the location at first but everything is under good control. He likes his new school but he missed Pine View Middle and still speaks highly of it.

There is always room for improvement but overall I am pleased with PVMS and the quality experience provided for my son thus far. He has excelled tremendously this year.

My son is in his 2nd year @ PVMS. We are very very happy with his progress. The teachers and staff truly care. I highly recommend this school.

My son is in 4th grade at Pineview, While I agree that the school is not in the best neighborhood, I also think that some of the ppl posting are probably scared of their own shadow. I would not necessarily feel entirely safe driving to the school at night by myself, but I wouldn't freak out about it either. There were 2 incidents, but neither occurred on school property and they were both handled, in my opinion, with an abundance of caution. My son is doing well at PVMS, both socially and academically. His teacher is wonderful! The administrative staff seems on top of things and enforce school board policies. My only complaint is that they don't respond to emails. They fix the problem or concern, but they don't actually write you back....kind of rude and annoying. But, overall, the school does not deserve the bad rep it receives.

Each child is vastly different. What works for some might not work for others. I believe this is the case In EVERY school in the country. Because my child attends Pine View I am hesitant to speak negative of it. I try to have a positive approach and role. Yes, there has been recent events that have concerned me. Which we did not experience last year. But I have FAITH in her principle and staff. She is excelling at this school. Even with some of her learning disabilities. Though I don't approve of violence of any kind. Both of these recent incidents WERE NOT on school campus. I just continue to put my trust in our school system. My family and I have been very pleased with Pine View Middle

This is the worst school I've ever seen. The area it is located is very run down and my son is afraid to go to school here. Hes only been in school for 2 months and they have already sent two letters home about the police having to visit the school because of some kind of threat or fight. I was very hesitant to send him here in the first place but because of where we live, this is the only option. I have several friends who have kids that have went to this school and have taken them out because of how bad it is. Now my son is scared to go back to school and it breaks my heart. Children should not have to be afraid at school. Its just ridiculous. I am getting out of this school district as fast as I can. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

this school had so much potential but fell way short. Little parental involvement, even though we tried; facilities are depressing; faculty lack professional development. Gifted program uses same teachers for all 3 years - disappointing! Talented theater and art are WONDERFUL. Testing for special services is so slow it is sad. AR is not used properly so kids are actually disincentivised to read or to challenge themselves to read at higher levels. "Computer class" is a joke. 4th grade teachers are good. And the neighborhood makes it feel like the system doesn't care about the school or the area.

This is our second year at Pine View and it is outstanding, Mrs. Tillman and Mr. Miller have total control of the student body but give the teachers freedom to teach in whatever style fits there strengths. My daughter has thrived in both Mrs. Lewko's 4th grade class and Mrs. Dean's 5th grade class. Overall VERY happy with Pine View

This school is a "0" in my book they were supposed to do special testing with my son for 7 month and still not done- thier student to parent ratio is too high.

Little or no discipline. No accountability with student behavior. Little or no parent participation. Lack of communication between administration and teachers.
