With the change in principals this school has taken a turn for the better. The teachers are amazing and accessible, the curriculum is demanding yet understandable, and the activities that are provided are amazing. The environment seems so much different than last year and the teachers seem so much happier. I really wish that parents would get more involved. There are parents that are very involved, but many that barely know whats going on.

Hello, the last time I was at Monaco Elem. School was when I was in the fourth grade. I was 9 in a half yrs of age when my parents decided that it would be best to move to TX. I can remember how devistated I was to leave this school. The only reason why I am writing in this review is because I read two reviews that did not seem fair to the school integrity. As a little girl i was always shy didnt have many friends untill I came to this school. When I attended this school there was not much racism, and the teachers cared about all the students education Spanish speaking or not. Last but not least I would like to let whoever is thinking of putting their children in this school it is not so much the childrens surroundings but how much the parents are involved in their childrens learning that will reflect in the childs learning skills.

This school is terrible. The pride of the school lies in teaching english to a 60% hispanic ratio of students. What about the other 40%? And with that majority of one ethnicity, there is racism, and conflicts of that nature are ignored, the staff ever denying that a terrible thing like racism could possibly exist in THIS school... Many of the other parents of the minorities, anglo and african american, express similar opinions, and are frustrated with the willful ignorance of the situation by ALL staff, principal included. I myself have placed my children in a new school, in hopes that they will have a fresh new start, equality, and a fair opportunity for education without the distraction of being picked on daily for being white. How SAD is that?!
