First it took forever to get approved to be able to watch my son in class because it was always an excuse on why I should come another day......I visit today and was not pleased at all smh in the lunchroom a little boy dropped his apple on the floor and wanted to throw it away but couldn't teacher told him I will wash it off and you can eat it still(the janitor wanted him to throw it away but the teacher said no) Just disgusting..... Today was too cold to go outside so it was a movie day I guess and all three kindergarten classes was in one room .....While watching the movie a child went to go sit on the teachers lap and she let him sit with her for a while then told him to get his own chair then told another teacher that the little boy smell horrible smh and I was sitting across the room and I heard it so I know other kids heard it (wonder why kids get bullied) so after the movie bathroom break and the kids went back into there own classroom I was about to walk in the room and Mrs. Showman stopped me at the door and said sorry you are going to have to leave now because I am about to open this combining door and although I agreed to let you come and watch your son the other teachers didnt and its in our teachers contract....So l go to the office ask the lady about teachers contract and she said she didnt know anything about it....I asked for a hand booklet and she told me about the 24hr vistor pass policy and I said I did put in notice and she just look like okay what else you want me to do......I could go on forever about this school just off of one 2 hour visit DO BETTER DUNLOE

The staff for is VERY RUDE. The teachers let the students sleep in class. The teachers will give a daily report on your childs behavior but no daily updates on the daily work. This our first year and our last year I absolutely hate it.

Dunloe Elementary School is where my grandson attends. He completed his Kindergarten year during the 2012-2013 school year. When my daughter invited to events at the school I found the staff to be very friendly and inclusive. I also like the fact that they do Individual Planning with the child & parents. However, I do believe that there needs to be bus monitors on the buses. Since I go to my daughter's home every morning & afternoon to put on & take my grandson off the school bus, there were several times where he was bullied by a third grader. When my daughter called the school, she was told that the school has nothing to do with bus incidents and that she would need to call the bus garage to make a report. After two weeks of requesting that somethng be done my grandson's seat was moved. I wtinessed another parent whose kindergartner experienced the same thing with a bulling 4th grader. I also witnessed the bus driver yelling at children (not my grandson), as well as other bus drivers speeding thru the neighborhood, especially in the afternoons.

This is a great school with outstanding teachers, and a top notch principal. Very active PTO. Kids love it here.
