This is one of the most worst’s schools I ever taught at the students are disrespectful and have no respect for the teachers.. I was teaching 4th grade for summer school and all the kids had already passed to the 5th grade they could not read spell or count and I was in total shock that they were promoted to the next grade it just goes to show that the teachers and the system are failing these students they are just there for a check and not the students..because if I was the teacher for the school year they would have all been held back I would have never promoted them to the next grade and the school is very aware of what is going on with these students it’s very sad and disappointing that children are not been taught by the teachers something needs to be done about it immediately!!

This school is poorly run and is a disservice to the children. The principle has no structure for disciple or helping the children to learn. I have seen kids passed to the next grade who are clearly not ready and are not being taught what is needed to be able to past to the next grade. The kids also have no structure and a lot of them use this to not listen to the teachers or do any of the work. Unfortunately the schools staff is not really equipped either as there is too much tension in the school over race as it does not celebrate diversity but favors some students and teachers over others. The teacher turnover is very bad and stability of good teachers is important for kids to learn. I've even seen parent not care if their kids are failing because they know the staff will still pass them to the next grade. This school is really a disgrace and should be closed down.

I would rate my current experience with this school as "not very good". The process of gentrification is occurring in the community, and I feel that the culture of the school has changed to fit the overall goal of the gentrification process, which is to close the school altogether. It is a sad commentary, especially when the school was doing so well in previous years. Call it a conspiracy, whatever, but I have witnessed these types of things occur before. I hope that a change takes place, and the school returns to its former glory or seek to elevate to a higher expectation than the present.

Unprofessional staff who are physically and verbally abusive. Used to be a great school but this school year they got a new principal "King Louie" and the school has gone downhill. I had better success in public schools. I feel sorry for these children.

This school has alot to give. Its a school with dance routine, drumline, basketball boys and girls, music classes, jazz music classes. Sewing classes. With all that, the education scores on high.
