We found that as long as your child fits the typical mold of a given grade, they can do really well here. If they need extra support as a result of a learning disability or behavoiral challenge on any level, the support is very limited to non-existent in some grades. Many of the seasoned veteran teachers have retired and the new ones don't seem to have the same capacity to handle their students with grace and understanding of developmental stages. The growth of the school has caused the Christian segment of their education to be watered down and the students attending are more often from non-church going homes. My students teacher actually stopped bible teaching in 4th quarter. Plus, the entire school year there was little evidence we noticed of increased biblical knowlege in our student.

We have been at Christian Fellowship for 3 years now, and could not have been happier with our decision to move our children here from public school.

This school provides a challenging yet caring environment where students can explore who they are through a Biblical worldview while being equipped for college and the job force.

My oldest daughter has been going to Christian Fellowship for 9 years and my youngest for 6 years. We couldn’t have been more blessed when we made the decision to go to school here. The teachers see the children as individuals, not a number, they love them like their own. Because the classroom sizes are smaller teachers can give individualized help and each teacher in the elementary has their own teacher aid. The school has a real school feel, yet it is very family oriented with Christian families that share the same values. My girls have made so many friends at Christian Fellowship, and have been given the opportunity not only to excel academically, but in sports also. This truly is an amazing school.

We love Christian Fellowship! The way they challenge and build all 3 of our kids in both character and education is a true art!

My four children all attended Christian Fellowship School. The teachers are excellent and the curriculum is rigorous. It really prepares students for academic excellence in college. Not only do the students learn the basics well, they greatly benefit from the Biblically-based character training. I highly recommend this school!

My oldest daughter is now a junior at Baylor University and was well prepared for the rigorous academics she found there. She was joined by two of her classmates from CFS and they are both doing well too. This year's graduating class at CFS had 9 students score a 30 or higher on the ACT. My husband and I feel CFS has been a good investment!

I have attended school since kindergarten and I feel like the education received in elementary is good, but in high school it lacks. I felt very hesitant to ask questions because I felt like I wouldn't receive as much as I personally needed. At public school the students are encouraged to ask questions and they have many tutors available for anyone. Also, many AP classes and honors classes that are offered at public school are more challenging or equal to the education received at CFS (in my opinion). Additionally the classes have a lot of cliques because they are so small. Christian Fellowship is a good school but its not for everyone, I feel that I have received more opportunities and that my faith has gotten stronger since I have left CFS.

This school does not consistently practice principles of honesty and truthfulness. The academic instruction leaves much to be desired. Historically, this school had a good reputation as a prep school. Currently, most of their graduates attend the local community colleges. The staff has changed and the results are evident in lack of character and excellence.

I have had all 3 of my kids go to school here from Pre-K on. Different kids have different needs, but my 2 oldest went all the way through and never wanted to go anywhere else. They have been given every opportunity to be prepared for success in college and life. The 2 that have graduated are both attending a large State University, MU, are doing well academically, and are secure in their own character and values. What my kids have experienced is as close to the ideal small town, caring community, cheering them on, having faith and values school that could be possible in today's world in Columbia, MO. What has made this possible is the committed Faculty and Staff, to whom I will always feel a debt of gratitude. CFS makes every effort to make the school financially possible, and this is in great part due to the financial sacrifices made by the Faculty and Staff. If I might give a word of advice. I've known parents who have started their kids at CFS thinking they'll give their kids "a good foundation" and then have them in Public School later. If given a choice, I'd do the opposite. I think my kids benefited the most from Jr. High through their Senior year.

CFS is an excellent school for children to grow both academically and spiritually. The class sizes are small enough to offer plenty of individual attention while still large enough to offer many extracurricular activities that a public school offers. The love and attention shown by the faculty is second to none! I would definitely recommend CFS to parents of children of any age group.
