Car raider line closes earlier than it's supposed to some people right there and that line closes right between 8:12 and 8:13 every time never fails and last few minutes that traffic heavy in that area. Then recently my niece, she said her friend was having trouble with one of the administrators her name starts with B and she keeps try have an attitude every time she's late getting in her face in the hall embarrassing her while her brother is also there but she never says anything to him it's just her every time like she has some kind of problem with her. I pray someone deals with how these people deal with our kids.

Our experience at Collierville Middle School has been exceptional! The teachers are dedicated and genuinely care about the students’ success. The curriculum is challenging yet supportive, and there are plenty of extracurricular activities to choose from. The school’s community is welcoming and inclusive, making it a fantastic environment for learning and growth. Highly recommend!

Principal Swindle and the staff at CMS work very hard to ensure students learn and receive the socio-emotional help they need during the difficult transition from elementary to middle school. My son was very worried about middle school, but he absolutely loved his experience there.

All four of my children have attended CMS and my youngest is there now. We have been impressed with the quality of education and the great communication with parents (primarily through email and Power School app). There are many programs and clubs to challenge and brighten your students. We have been involved with band, orchestra, STEM, Beta Club and more. The only gripe is with not having a theatre program. They have a theatre club, but it’s a joke. My other complaint is no lockers. The teachers use the lockers for their own storage and so the students all have to carry 50 pound backpacks and lug them around all day. I can’t comment on how the school is for those struggling students as all ours have been straight A students. I know some kids have true disabilities, but often times it is lack of parental support and they blame the schools. That seems to be the negative ratings. We have always had wonderful experiences with this middle school as it really prepares them for high school.

We have attended several school in various states over the years. I feel special attention is afforded gifted or advanced children and the rest are lumped into a pack. The administration seems to discourage parental involvement or communication, wants our kids to just come to school and just leave. The staff I've encountered up front have negative attitudes and can't be bothered with you. The teachers are a mixed bag, but few stand out. Many are defeatist and critical. There is no room to learn to be independent coming from elementary, there are just rigid guidelines in place for the kids with no grace for mistakes and no second chances.

Collierville Middle School develops the whole child. Teachers and administrators truly care! My son attended 6th-8th and is a better student and a better person because of this school

This is my son's first year at CMS and for the most part he loves it. The school curriculum is challenging and the school itself is very organized. The students get along with each other and it seems to me that students truly like each other. Now here comes the bad part. My son has attended Collierville schools since kindergarten. He has liked some of his teachers and disliked some of his teachers. But never has he came home crying several days in a row because he thinks a teacher hates him. The stories that he told me about this teacher really hurt my feeling. I'm not going to play the race card because I don't know. She could just be a mean teacher. All I know is what I see. My son crying his eye's out. Overall the good out weigh the bad. Whats one teacher when everything else is perfect.

I went to CMS 3 years ago and I enjoyed it quite a bit! I thought all of the teachers were great and they truly love teaching too. The teachers made each subject easy to understand and fun! The older CMS was very old and in rough condition but the kids and teachers definitely made up for it. I'm also actually considering visiting the newer CMS because I miss the staff and my old teachers so much!

I taught at CMS for 10 years and miss it greatly! The faculty and staff are one big family and the teachers really care about each other, and the students. The administration gives you the freedom to teach your lessons effectively and offers tremendous support. The students work hard and are very altruistic. They are always coming up with ways to help other not as fortunate as them, CMS is a great school that provides a quality education with a nurturing environment. GO DRAGONS!!!

My son attended this school before his mom insisted on taking him over to Dexter Middle. I am horrified that he now attends a school which I consider to be a downgrade. CMS is great and I hope that soon my son will be able to continue his education there.
