I have three children attending Jefferson, 4th, 3rd and kindergarten. I love this school and it's support staff. My children are involved in every way and are thriving. I have found the teachers and support staff to be very caring. I have special appreciation for Mrs. Lisa Peterson, Mrs. Ogas, Mrs. Stott, Mrs. Garfield, Mr. Ford, Marcia (front office), Mr. Tift ice and Mrs. McAvoy and Mrs. Bersano. Even if we were to move, would keep my children in this school. I am very appreciative of my children being able to been able to attend the 21st Century Program in the past and after school enrichment program this year. I feel blessed that my children have been able to be in these programs free of charge a nd it was not income based. I am also very appreciative that Mrs. Peterson wrote the grant to secure the funds to have extended day kindergarten. Most other schools just have 3 hours of kindergarten. The teachers and support staff good above and beyond. I am writing this review from the perspective of a long time high school teacher from another school district. Thank you Jefferson staff for all that you do.

Only thing good about this school is the teachers. The principal, office staff, and campus monitors are rude, hurried in response to your concerns, unwelcoming and in the eyes of my children uncaring and even unfair when it come to attending to your child or their own that attend there. Seems to me after five years of having my children attend here Clovis unified needs to take a closer look at the quality of leadership at Jefferson. Reviews of this school sadly are dropping. And I completely agree with the prior post.

My Kids have went to this school for over 5 years.I have to agree with what one parent said about the principal. This school also has a bad problem with bully's. He will not suspend because it makes the schools scores go down.

The staff and teachers are pretty good - but the principal is not very loving of children and not the best at his job. He only seems to care about tests scores. He couldn't care less if a child suffered - as long as his bottom line was doing well. The community of the school is molded by the principal, and this one ruins Jefferson for most of the parents. What does it say when the parents don't like the principal and can hardly talk to him? He is not very social or approachable, and he is the reason we no longer like this school. Many parents meet and talk about the same issues. It's a very sad situation.

I love this school. My child has been going to this school for 4 years now. My step children also went to this school. I think that this new generation has gotten harder for the kids but it has to. I have stay living in this area so that my son stays at this school. They do have wonderful teacher who care about our kids education and their future. They want them to be very successful . There is nothing wrong with that and we as parents. So be gratefully to have teachers like that. I know that my child get slot of homework but it will only benefit him.
