This School is preoccupied with families with high economic status, if your child comes from a lower income status they will not get seen, heard, included and so much more. Same for parents, the only parents who get welcomed to join in are the ones of high economic status and don't get me started on the PTA moms and Room moms. Those moms are the worst.. they will not even allow other moms to belong or participate in anything. The teachers.. many are extremely fake, minus maybe three or four from the entire school; they will pretend to like you or be friendly and then talk about you once you walk away.

We currently have a few kids in Gettysburg and one that has graduated and is now in Jr High and have nothing but positive reviews of the school. We love the family community at Gettysburg as well as the experience our kids have had at this school. There are some truly incredible teachers at this school, and like most schools, there are a few teachers we would not prefer but have learned to navigate through. The school is both economically and racially diverse. They are super competitive in academics and athletics. Our oldest was incredibly prepared for Jr High, even while navigating through Covid. We are super excited to see Gettysburg continue to excel and develop the kids in our community.

The principal at this school and a 6th grade math teacher is absolutely hard to work with. As a parent i know first hand that they do not listen to what the parents are asking of them and dismiss any and everything.

The schooling for this school is good but i cant say the same for the teachers there and one in particular. The female teacher Martinez is extremely rude to not just the kids but parents as well. She constantly has attitude and questions everything towards her students and parents.

This school has gone from great to poor in the last 3 years. I've been waiting on the ridiculous transfer protocols set by Clovis Unified. There are some teachers there that do not care about the kids, do not help foster and guide kids toward succeeding. Students are not motivated to learn the "old" traditional way of seat work when students should be embracing common core. The teacher and administrator take no ownership or responsibility to help students succeed. They blame it back on the students and parents. When parents reach out, they are not supportive. I can't wait to get my child out of this school!!!
