We moved here recently mainly on the reputation of this district and I have 4 children in the elementary and could not be happier. The teachers and staff are dedicated and always willing to work with my children. They have wonderful facilities and the administration is very supportive and approachable. They recently started football in the district for grades 3rd-6th. My children are involved in everything from Jays Choir, volleyball, softball, math club etc. and absolutely love it here.

Clever is a wonderful little town, but unfortunately the elementary school is horrible. The vice principal, Shelly Wallin, has been there too long. My experience with her every time has been an unpleasant. My first day meeting her, and she left me with a memory for life. My husband takes my daughter to school because I have to work early. She's our only child, and we were excited for her first day of kindergarten. I had asked my husband to get some photos of her. Well with all the chaos, he forgot. So I decided to get her photo after school. I got there early, and walked up to circle drive. Keep in mind I'm a brand new parent to this school, still learning the rules. The vice principal comes marching up to me, scolding me like some child telling me to get back into my vehicle. I explain about missing the photos in the morning, and stated I'd stay out of the way, just wanted a couple pictures. She then yells at me, and says you need to go back to your car and get in line with the rest of the cars in circle drive! After everyone leaves you can worry about your picture. She sucked the excitement right out, not to mention embarrassment. I did get my picture in the end, but my memory from that moment will be forever. She handled that situation horribly. I have now had too many experiences with her that have just been bad and has led me to believe she's just there for a pay check. Unfortunately there's a few teachers like that too. Situations that my daughter have been in, and how the teachers have handled it, have been questionable too. Bullying, sickness, and a teacher getting my daughters finger in the door have brought concerns. I've given this school a chance for 2 years now, and it doesn't seem to be getting better. I would recommend looking for a different school or at least prepare yourself mentally to be treated like your in a herd, just another one to push in and push out.

Our school is has some great teachers. We've had some great times. The parent involvement could be improved, both due to parents and teachers.

This is a terrible school! I grew up here and can not believe what this school has turned into. The elementary school is read, read, read, and now look the middle school math scores are WAY below average! Oh and let's not forget the teachers that act like teenagers. There is more drama and judgmental teachers it is sickening! I could go on and on ! My main advise is do not move here if you have children!

This school is awful. The faculty and administration are bigger bullies than the students. There are no books. The teachers ostracize and humiliate their students. Their disciplinary protocol and curriculum is a joke. We have lived here since 2008 and it was the worst mistake I could have possibly made for my children. If the students are unhappy at school, they do not learn!

The preschool needs to step it up. I feel that their is not enough structured learning going on. The weekly fee charged to attend is a lot for just play time. My children can play at home for free. I understand that children learn through free play and the socialization skills they are learning are very valuable. However, I would like to see more worksheets showing actual progress. This also indicates to me that teacher's are being hands on and interacting with the students. I believe that their should be a student to teacher connection and I did not see that in my child's classroom. I'm also a little disappointed with parent involvement. I saw parents show up for class parties but assisting with anything was non-existent. I was told it was because it was a disruption to the classroom although I did not quite understand the logic behind it.
