This school is horrible. The teachers are nice, but there's a lot of bullying. I was discriminated a lot while I went to CSMS. No more than a year later, my family and I decided to move to Orlando (Glenridge Middle School), which is amazing, and so far the best school I've gone to, other than RKBBH.

My daughter is currently enrolled in 6th grade. She was so nervous and excited at the same time. She fell in love with this school the moment she had orientation. A lot of parents told me to transfer her to lecanto middle school but after orientation, I decided to have her go to the zoned school. The teachers respond to emails right away if not within 24 hours. Very easy to communicate with the teachers and my daughter loves how she can leave one building and go to the next. The teachers are constantly observing the kids when changing classes. No bullying allowed as if one gets caught, it’s an immediate suspension. My daughter is enrolled in all advanced classes and remains a straight A student. Couldn’t ask for a better school. The major difference is there are more athletic activities provided within lecanto middle than at citrus springs. My daughter is a swimmer and I know she needs to wait till high school but otherwise, excellent school.

I was once a teacher at this school. Although the majority of the teachers and staff are very nice and helpful, not everyone is this way and they sure are good at pretending to be kind and good at what they do. When it comes to the administrative staff, the principal, John Weed, is allowing the children to run that school, he obeys every parent's command, and he has no spine. The assistant principal, Deirdre Murray, is two-faced and cannot be trusted. The other assistant prinipal, Rob Hermann, is the only one that seems to have a good, honest head on his shoulders and the kids' best interests in mind. That school will never be what it used to be, and if the administration does not get fixed, its excellent reputation won't last much longer.
