This school is bad. Its really dirty, smells. The staff do not care about my child’s feelings. I do not recommend.

This is my son's second year at Hernando Elementary, and after a turbulent year at IPS, this school has been a much better experience. I am positive the staff cares about the kids. They always have fun family events that anyone can attend. They've offered to help my son instead of penalizing him anytime he does something that may not be considered "good." This has enabled him to adjust to a new school and also helped flip his behavior. 10/10 would recommend!

I attended Hernando in early 80's and totally understand where you are coming from . Some of the things that I saw seemed like it was from backwoods movie. The Principal at that time use to walk around with a paddle board if anyone misbehaved. Sorry, If I have offended anyone ,but just speaking on my experience.

I love this school! The teachers and staff have always been supportive and caring for their students. All the teachers my three children have had over the past six years have done everything they can to challenge and encourage their learning experiences. I have always been informed of what 's going on in the classroom and if I ever have a question, all I need to do is call or email them and I get a quick response back.

My two boys just started school this year. What should be a wonderful experience has me worried for their success. I have e-mailed the teacher with no response, and written notes again with no response. My son is supposed to have a daily take home folder, and twice now he has come home with out the folder or without the daily papers. I want and need more communication, or i will be headed into the office to speak to the superintendent.

Excellent school with children wanting to learn. Great leadership ! These Citrus County schools actually encourage children to do their best and become achievers.
