This school is a hidden gem. I have had children at this school for about five years now. The teachers and staff are knowledgeable, caring, and dedicated to the success of all the students. Class sizes are relatively small, and the campus has a family-like feel. Don't be scared off by the exterior, this school is a wonderful place of learning and growth. They also offer fabulous after school programs that are free such as athletics, robotics, Lego engineering, yoga and crafts, sensory, gardening, theatre and many others. With an active PTO, there are many fun events for the families throughout the year such as a Beach Bash, a Fall Festival, movie nights, dances and more! My children have been in the 90/10 Spanish Dual Immersion program at the school and their academic growth is truly impressive. Students love the VAPA program at Valle Lindo, which includes music, art and theatre biweekly. Though the buildings are older, the campus is well-kept and orderly. The only major thing lacking is a remodel or rebuild of the school, which has been promised by the district for many years. Unlike many of the newer and bigger schools, drop off and pick up is pretty quick and simple. It's located right off the 805, so it's very convenient for us working parents. I have been very happy with this little school and have no hesitation recommending it.

The teachers and principal are very responsive and helpful. They have made my child feel welcome and find ways to support him academically and emotionally. For the first time ever, my child has friends and enjoys going to school. They have fun after-school clubs, a counselor, and events where families can participate. I highly recommend this school.

Very disappointed... Most reviews are okay for this school. I wish I could write all the details why I give the school only one star... My children still go to this school (unfortunately), so I can't write exactly what happened. I could say some teachers are great! But the principal...all because of her we consider transferring our children to the different school near the area. Again, VERY disappointed.

Top notch 5/5 stars school! I was skeptical at first but a lot of reviews were based on the previous principal. The current principal cared about the students and his teachers.

I have had my kids there for 7 years and still have 6 more to go. Small school, you know everyone and keeping up with the kids and their needs is easier.

I enjoy my son getting to learn Spanish. The dual immersion program is wonderful. Thank you teachers for helping my child become bilingual.

This is a great school with excellent teachers. I enrolled my son in the Dual Immersion Program since he was in Kindergarten. He is now a 2nd grader and I am proud to say that although I do not speak or understand spanish, my son can speak, understand and write in spanish. He has no problems reading and writing in English as well. Thank you Principal and your wonderful team of teachers. See you all again next year.

This is my 1st year at this school and it seems to be a good place for my child. My son currently attends 2nd grade here and my other son will be starting kinder in 12/13 year. My sons teacher is very helpful and communicated very well with me in regards to my sons performance. I cant say my son is her best student, but she does a lot more than I would expect to help him and communicates with me very well. The principal is also very involved in everything and seems like a real go getter making sure her school performs well. All in all I am very satisfied with Valle Lindo. Great Staff; front office lady just needs to smile more. She is after all the first face for the school or as I like to call them; The Director of first impressions:.

You cannot communicate with the principal and some teachers without arguing with the parents. School does poorly in protecting children. On the surface they appear to be friendly and nice but are very quick to undermine parents.
