We took our kids here for preschool, although there were changes to teachers (as in any school, whether private or not), our kids were not affected by the changes. They continued to be happy, excited, and grow in their learning skills. Unlike other Catholic schools our kids have attended, the staff is extremely accessible. Always ready to answer any questions, via email, text message, or in person. My husband and I are grateful for the staff and for making our kids feel safe, loved, cared for, and feel blessed. The teachers are wonderful educators and we feel our kids are ready to take on their next journey to TK and beyond.

We love this school! We’re so happy that a friend recommended for my little kids. My two oldest sons went to that preschool and they loved it! Can’t wait to potty train my youngest boy to enroll him too. The teachers are amazing, you can tell how respectful they are with the little ones. Is a safe school with values and Catholic traditions.

This is an amazing preeschool . The teachers are wonderful and always understanding and patient with the kids . Our child loved her teacher Ms Amanda and we have nothing but great things to say about this school . We decided to also place our other two older kids their elementary school because of our great experience . The director Ms Debbie is always kind and attentive.

Enrolled my kids at this school from preschool without visiting other Catholic Schools. It was great at first. Then many teachers were fired, the curriculum changed (without consulting parents OR teachers) & the school went downhill. If your kids struggle, they will NOT receive the support they need. There is little discipline for misbehavior and/or bullying. We have since been at a different Catholic school for a couple years now and I regret not doing my research before enrolling for preschool. The difference in education and teaching core CATHOLIC values is light years away at our new school. If you’re looking for a solid education that will provide extra support to your student as needed AND you as a parent all while maintaining an emphasis on catholic values, this is NOT the school for you. Believe me, visit several & this will not be it. Additionally, the principal that came to the school and made all of the changes didn’t even last more than two years, that says a lot!

St. Pius X is an amazing place. My children are happy and thriving. There's a lot of positivity now that a lot of problematic families have left. The teachers and admin team are amazing. They have an open for policy and I'm always comfortable bringing concerns and opinions to them.

The school is an extension to my son’s family. He grew up at St Pius. Graduated with high grades and got a scholarship to one of the best Catholic HS in the county. Most teachers were very personable and all seemed to care for my son’s educational growth and faith in God. His friends extended beyond the classroom onto different grades. The school emphasizes an active faith in God, string academics, civic roles and responsibilities, respect for the flag and our country. They allow kids to get involved in school events which help develop their independence and self esteem. There were several school and parish events that reinforced the feeling of belonging to the St Pius community. Administration was very accessible and open to constructive dialogue. The Parish promoted the need to have our faith be present in school, events and everyday activities. Overall, it was an outstanding experience for my son. The greatest feeling of satisfaction I have is seeing the academic results, memories and strong foundation in morals and principals my son learned at St Pius.

The current administration has allowed secular curriculum to infiltrate this school. The school is currently teaching common core Eureka Math and Amplify Reading curriculum at the school. The Math program is terrible. The Amplify reading curriculum should be removed from the school immediately as many of the stories students have to read are inappropriate and are doing little to advance the mission of the Catholic church. Parents have raised concerns about the curriculum with the current administration and have been told by the principal to leave the school if they do not like all the changes to the curriculum, as the school may no longer be a good fit for their child. Several families have also called The Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego to share their concerns about the curriculum being incompatible with church teaching only to have their concerns ignored. It is sad to see many good conservative families leave the school and I hope the Diocese of San Diego will intervene before more decide to leave.

Used to be one of the best Catholic elementary schools for academics. No longer. Complete turnover of administration and teachers whose only goal is to push common core standards and Standards Reference Grading. In 2 years the childrens scores have plummeted. Families are leaving in droves. Do not expect school to last 2 more years at this rate.

Does not consult parents before showing videos on sex; FALSE ADVERTISEMENT: does not teach Catholicism but promotes religious indifferentism among the students by teaching other religions
