Unfortunately, SCA has had to close their doors. I loved this school! I wish there was more notice about the school closing since now most parents are scrambling to find a comparable school for their kids. Public school was obviously not an option otherwise we would not have had our children at SCA in the first place. I just wonder if more could have been done. Perhaps increase tuition or have only nursery through 5th grad classes. I am sure that would have cut out some of the expenses.

I have a 4th grade student at SCA and when she first started there I loved it but when the principal retired and an old CPS principal took over, i seriously thought about transferring my child. Unfortunately health wise,the principal had gotten sick. The new principal is phenomenal!!! She takes such an interest in the students!! She is dedicated to excellence and to the student's greatness. The morale of the students, teachers and parents have increased 100 fold. They encourage the parents to get involved. The principal is there from the beginning of the day to the end of after school program. The academic curriculum I feel prepares them for the upcoming year. The only draw back was that during the school year 2 years ago, all of the teacher's aids were laid off. I truly believe that having teacher's aids contributed to the success of the students. Other than that, I like the direction the new principal is taking the school!

Great School, offers a lot with offordable pricing. Old school learning with new school technology. Thumbs Up to SCA!

I love Salem because they focus on each child's unique potential for greatness. The teachers as well as administration, work to build relationships with families to strengthen the child's school experience.

My children have completed 1 year at SCA. I was extremely pleased with what my daughter learned in her pre-K class. Her teacher & assistant were 2nd to none! There was rarely any yellin, and lots of positive reinforcement. My son's kindergarten teacher and assistant were big on yelling and negative comments were abundant. On the positive side, they did involve parents in disciplinary action and keep us apprised of both progress and regression in behavior and academics. The after school attendants who were with my children were very loving & involved, not just glorified babysitters. The principal, Dr. Jackson, was wonderful. Although she became seriously ill toward the end of the year, her involvement was apparent even when she was not in the office. I look forward to the coming year. My children both scored consistently above their grade levels. We will be returning to SCA in the fall.
