Ridge Academy is a great school. The principal, teachers and entire staff care about each child. They provide personal attention and a challenging curriculum. Some other parents are frustrating. They don’t pay on time or meet their other obligations then complain when they are held accountable. But the school doesn’t let those few spoil things.

I would never recommend this school to any parent. You will never know who the board is, you will never know how money is spent and where your tuition dollars go, there is no strategic plan and direction of the school, there is no gym or sports program, no art program. Leadership of the school is sorely lacking. You will be nickeled and dimed every step of the way for money and raising funds for the school outside of your contract committment. School is very secretive and you will not receive honest answers to fiduciary questions, even though your money goes to keep the school running. Stay away!

Both my children currently attend Ridge Academy and are not only doing Amazing Academically but also emotionally. The financial sacrifice is well worth it! My daughter has shown great improvement from her last school and my son has never been this happy in any school. He has made great friends and continues to be challenged to his full potential. We have 100% parent involvement and because it is such a small school, we have become a family. Happy Mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Both of my children graduated from Ridge Academy and I must say that choosing this school was the best educational decision my husband and I made! The principal, Mr. Koll, is amazing and the teacher's are equally as great. Both of my sons were accepted into the top High Schools in Chicago (St. Ignatius Whitney Young, Morgan Park Academy, Walter Payton, etc.) and from there, some of the top colleges and universities in the country ( University of Chicago, Northwestern, Washington University in St. Louis, Illinois Institute of Technology, University of Illinois, etc. ). This could not have happened without the strong educational foundation they obtained while at Ridge. Even though my children have been away from Ridge for several years, I do not hesitate to recommend Ridge to friends, family, colleagues. If you want your child to have a superior education in a non-threatening environment, then look no further than Ridge Academy.

Ridge Academy is an excellent school. Not only are the teachers able to recognize brilliance but are also able to bring it out on every student. The learning environment at Ridge Academy has allowed my daughters to excel in their academic and personal development. Ridge Academy is a very small school that it depends on parent involvement to be as successful as it has been. I really appreciate this because I believe that staying involved in my daughters education not only at school but also at home is very important for them to be successful. At Ridge Academy we are not just another tuition paying parents, we are part of a family. My oldest has been at Ridge since 1st grade and now moving on to 6th grade and my youngest moving on to 2nd grade. My wife and I who are both working parents could not be happier with being part of this school, we could not be happier with being part of this family and could not ever imagine having our daughters attend another school

My son is brillant but this school doesnt see it. I am a single mom and I dont want to spend my time with his education thats what the school is for. They always sending too much homework aint nobody got time for that! Hes in drama class and thats all thats good. Maybe if they would lighten up a little I could relax I pay a lot of money so I shouldnt have to be working with him at home. Thats what school is for not home.

Ridge is the only school that I know of that is truly ready, willing and able to teach the whole child. The environment is both challenging and supportive, and every effort is made to encourage each child's individuality as a contributing member of the community. All teachers and staff are dedicated to the students.

The school develops average kids into superior students who are well prepared for the challenges of higher education. Afterwards they are positioned to intelligently evaluate life's opportunities and chart their own courses to achieve their concept of success.
