The amount of physical altercation amongst school children at the school is outrageous. Lockdowns are very common. At least, one or two every month. If you are thinking about sending your child here, be sure to be worried about their safety as well.

It may do a halfway decent job at preparing you for college, but does less than nothing to help you grow as a person during what is likely a very trying time in your life, I grew more as a person playing Undertale then I ever have at this excuse of a school

Muchin will prepare you for college, no doubt. Teaches your child to be responsible, to make the right choices and gets them exposed to what options are out there as far as universities.

I have been to Muchin College Prep, and it is the worst high school I've ever been to. Which made me transfer to Marie Curie Sklodowska, Muchin College Prep says many things that makes it LOOK outstanding, but it is really not. In the parent perspective, it is good for kids that need discipline, but kids who already experienced discipline, shouldn't go here. Many bad things is that if you miss something on the first day of school, you stay after school for two hours. I know this because I was a student here, and the school is shaped like a jail, and acts like a jail.

It was rough starting off but eventually you get on track.

Scary, intimidating, traumatizing and sad. Education should be about developing our character and learnings. This is not the case here, how could we learn when we walk in there feeling extemely stress.

High school is a time to be disciplined and to learn. If parents want their kids to go to school and have fun, they should send them to their community high school. If they want their students to change their lives and be successful by going to college, then this is a perfect school for them.

I sent my daughter to this school and her first day of school she was crying her eyes put of fear! This school is not a place you would want to send your child. The teachers there try and teach your children manners, how can they teach your children that if they don't even have manners! They treat the kids horrible! Yes they teach you want your child needs to know but they are not so nice. I thought the military was tough but I was app wrong! You should not send your child there. I am a parent and I high recommend that you NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!

The Noble Network is very structured! Muchin has plenty to offer, the DISCIPLINE and ACADEMIC standards are HIGH which are beneficial if you want your child to succeed. My child has adjusted and has found his place with his advisor, advisory brothers and sisters. My child's adviser works very close with the students to set weekly goals , he attends his sports games, taken them out to lunch, set up volunteer hours for students, visited college campuses. The staff leads the students to be Noble in every aspect of life.We feel very safe and proud to be members of the Muchin family. I must admit, we(parents and child) struggled intensely at the beginning of the freshman year to adjust to their EXPECTATIONS. We considered transferring but we held on tight and it only made my child stronger, responsible, respectful and independent individual. It is well worth every moment of agony we endured for the first 5 weeks(transition period). I know for a fact the attention he receives at Muchin is not comparable to our community High School, not even close!! We are Muchin Proud family. .

I would like to bring to light the staff handling of students and parents at the Noble Street Charter Network High School. Their Military like handling along with intimidation methods to both parent and students. Excessive stress to the kids resulting in lack of focus on education. Several parents consensus of being left with no other option but to have their children remain at the school. The only great thing about this school is their ACT preparation starting in Freshmen year otherwise, they have the most Ghetto and unprofessional Founding Principal I have ever witnessed. The way she talks and interacts with her staff and students is just unbelievable. I have had the "privilege" of witnessing her interaction and hearing how she puts down the students, embarrasses them and even yells at parents and it is just mind boggling how she remains in that office. Their book and record keeping in this school is extremely incompetent. I have had to learn to take every receipt from them to every report card pick-up because of their incompetence. The threaten demerits & detentions for even looking at someone funny that is how ridiculous the rules are there.

MCP is a great option for any high school student. It is easy to get to from anywhere is the Chicago area, as all the train lines meet just a block away in any direction. It really is a place where students can feel safe. I have never met teachers more dedicated to the education of scholars in the way the teachers at MCP are, across the board.
