I am a substitute teacher. I have worked at 35 CPS schools and this one is my favorite. Great teachers, friendly and helpful staff, and very engaged Principal and AP! It is becoming difficult to get gigs at this school because word has gotten out and now everyone wants to sub here! Also, the students body is very diverse and the majority of the kids have been respectful, curious, and responsive to learning.

Wonderful school that has strong after school programs in gardening, science, technology, ballroom dance, music, theatre, sports, chess, and more.

Very caring teachers & principals & support staff. Excellent learning environment. The building is very clean and cheery. The hallways are full of recent student work and plants.

Poor teacher/parent communication. A lot of the staff have a condescending attitude. My child's teacher is absent once a week. Children are out of control on school grounds, nasty disgusting language coming out of 3rd grade+ mouths, physically aggressive behaviors. Also, a performing arts/dance class that involves videogame JustDance? I'd prefer my child to LEARN at school. He can throw on videogames at home.

Compared to last year, communication has gotten better. My child is doing so well. Great teachers and staff, they are all so friendly. I really like that they reward the students with patriot points.

I love the school. The teachers are rigorous and always have high expectations. The school is beautiful. I mean, where do you find bunnies in a garden in front of an elementary school in the inner city?!? The school always have different displays of art and student work. There is a lot of student and teacher pride in the school. Love it!

My daughter attends prek here.. and after only the first week i can see an improvment! I love it and hope she continues on with this school!
