I's a student and the work is hard and stressful. The teachers don't give you enough time to study. (this is for middle school btw) However, if you wanna get away from the really bad things in public school, this is the place to go. If you are a teen in middle school like me, you might be very stressed and go through depression just like I did. Good luck :/

So many issues with this school. I believe it starts with leadership on down. But the middle school teachers are the worst group. they are not teaching the children. The teachers are emotionally abusive to the students. Removed my child before her sprit was completely crushed. And as for the "Christian" portion of the education? Leading by example? The examples at this school don't line up with any Christian beliefs that I know or practice. What would Jesus do? He will tell you NOT to send your child to this school. PARENTS BEWARE!!

School used to be a place where a dedicated group of teachers provided an exceptional learning environment with small classes and enforced learning standards across all grade levels to ensure graduates were ahead of peers as they progressed through their educational experience. That is simply not the case anymore and likely will not be so under current leadership

This school has been a true blessing to our family. We have 4 children enrolled and we truly love it! The teachers and administration are truly remarkable!

I would highly recommend Mt. Pleasant Christian School. I attended this school and now my children attend this school. As a parent, you couldn't ask for a more secure, loving, and nurturing environment. The cost for private education is reasonable. The class sizes are small. The teachers are amazing. The principal is honest, helpful and truthful. You can just feel the Spirit in this school. The teachers know all the students first names and greet them when passing in the hallway. The school has before and after care to help us working moms.I just can't say enough great things about this school.

Mt. Pleasant Christian School has been a fantastic influence in my children’s’ lives. We moved from California where our children were in private school, we placed them in the Chesapeake public school system for a year and a half. The public system is on point academically but lacked so many other positive life influences. Coming from the military, we depend on school ratings to choose the right academic institution for our children; these ratings are not available for the private schools and Chesapeake public schools are rated so high. However, in the public system we saw our children change emotionally; they became self-conscious of their appearance and were losing their free spirited childhood interests. As we already move every few years, we were reluctant to make the change to another school but also couldn’t bear to see the kids grow up so fast, so we made the change mid-year. Academically, Mt. Pleasant was at the same level as the public school. The kids were accepted and treated as if they had been going there for years. The small class sizes allow for more teacher-parent interaction. The kids are now part of school events (at the public school they didn't have the same opportunity). It is a wonderful feeling to see the children so happy, on stage singing, in plays, in year round sports and with truly wonderful, caring friends. The teachers all know the children and genuinely care for them. My kids were in Kindergarten, fourth and fifth grades. My older two have been on honor roll both in the private sector and the public school system. We also use the after school program and my children get upset when I pick them up early because they have so much fun. My son has taken keyboard and my daughter participated in the afterschool supplemental art class. They also have enrichment classes through-out the year and regular field-trips. I highly recommend the school.
